The midchapter actually changed my default Survivor and Killer builds

My default Survivor build went from:

Iron Will/Inner Strength/Dead Hard/Spine Chill

to

Iron Will/Circle of Healing/Dead Hard/Windows of Opportunity

My default Killer build went from:

BBQ/Hex Ruin/Hex Undying/Corrupt Intervention

to

BBQ/Deadlock/No Way Out/Corrupt Intervention

The buffed perks and the new boon meta actually shifted how I play now, which is pretty cool. Usually the new patches just introduce new cosmetics with no meaningful gameplay changes.

The dbd player base love to complain about new strong perks while also complaining about a stale meta. It’s really weird

I changed my Survivor build as well. I mean, I replaced Spine Chill with Windows of Opportunity.

The buff is insanely good to me. Not OP, but pretty strong if you're lost in your own room like me.

I don't have a Killer build yet, but No Way Out is on the list of what I'd like to play. I never see people using it... End game needs to be spicy.

Same and the best part is I have yet to get less than a 2k with it.

My new killer build is Agitation, Iron Grasp, Mad Grit, and Insidious with my new main of Bubba.

On killer, I used to run Ruin as a staple on pretty much every build (usually paired with Undying). Even before the introduction of the Boon totem perks, I'd started moving away from Ruin (which is a shame, since it's the best (and often necessary) slowdown in the game -- for those rare matches it stays up). With totem spawns being usually godawful, I'd been shifting to a Corrupt/Pop build -- now, I've gotten rid of totems altogether with the new "meta" coming into play (though I have been seeing success with Hex: Plaything, which I think is underrated and has worked its way into as least my Pig build).

As survivor, I always had a 4th perk slot open to rotate depending on the focus of any given match, running Spine Chill/DS/Sprint Burst as a staple for the other three perks (the 4th usually being one of IW, WGLF, Prove Thyself, or a totem-finding perk). Now, COH is pretty much a staple. It removes the need to bring a med-kit if I'm playing solo (or even when playing SWF), and it's been incredibly invaluable in almost every match I've run it in (both for myself and teammates, randoms or SWF teammates). As much as I see other people in my matches, both as killer and survivor, running it, it's clear that, for the moment at least, it's a wildly popular addition to people's builds.

My survivor build these days are Boons, Iron Will and DH. I like it well enough. I'd like to drop Oron Will but it's too good with Shadowstep

For killer I almost always run No Way Out and NOED now. Usually with BBQ and Lethal

Because of boon i chamge my way of playing the game if its good for the game idont think so if i listen to the hate i get in the end game chat.

Survivor both boon iron will and DH because i think those perk are op and with the number of time i escape with those its really hard to think otherwise.

Killer its deadlock, corrupt intervention, no way out and noed because of boon i found myself camping and tunneling more because i need to commit to the chase im in now. Damn survivor hate my guts specially because of the way i play and my perk but this way make me win.

Based on your updated Killer build you've conceded that all of the generator will be finished and exit gate reached every game. I will agree that does fit will the current meta.

It kind of is and it kind of isn't. On the one hand, adding more perks to the pool of perks that actually get used is a great thing. On the other hand, it feels like a perk needs to be extremely powerful to reach that level of viability, and that means you're perpetually treading the line of 'is this too good?'

I'm pleased with Deadlock as an alternative to Ruin and Pop; it's a simple perk and it doesn't feel too oppressive, but it nevertheless does its job of forcing survivors to move around and stalling the flow of generators. Circle of Healing, though... oof. RIP to any notion of split pressure on a team. I think the main issue is that Deadlock doesn't really do anything that isn't covered by perks we already have; it just does it different and well. Circle of Healing is an all new type of crazy.

The buffs to No Way Out and Lucky Break were great, though. They're not brokenly powerful, but they have a marked and generally guaranteed effect on a match that you can use to build a strategy around.

The only difference is I added spies to my build. But it's pretty much the same, corrupt for the early game, pop for the mid game, and either no way out, blood warden, or NOED for the endgame. I'll occasionally switch out for bbq if I'm needing bp

Same here, I haven’t been able to take off Blood Favor since the update. I’m having so much fun with all the buffed hex perks.

Well yeah having strong new perks is good, but i personally think it would be even better to have all the perks kinda more balanced so we dont have 3 meta builds in each patch, better to have you know dozens of viable builds since we have like 185 perks which like 20 of them are actually viable

WoO is pretty good, but I really like the new Built to Last, till now I only used it with Medkits, I'll see how it feels with other stuff.
