So did Piggy's video tape solve the problem with Early game?
First time playing against Pig today and I don't know if I should be impressed or not. Since it's on the RPD map and all the bear traps got removed on the last box so I don't know if they decreased the chances on the trap getting remove.
It was some massive delay on the game lmao and after the bear trap was gone, still had to find Ruin in the map and it was too late really generators started getting worked on but 2 guys was on death hook already. Was this the solution all along to early game where RNG says "Yeah your first chase ends in 1-3 generators getting popped" ?
So what do people think about this who use Pig a lot or go against this Pig with these add ons?

Idk I have learned you can bodyblock a box for an ez kill..
So yea you can get a guaranteed kill with 1 sacrificed minute

I hate this about Pig's design, there's so many obvious flaws that are pretty easy to adress.
It should never have been total RNG. Just make a mask take between 2 and (total boxes -1) to clear. Neither side can get completely screwed with bad RNG that way.

I have a bunch of tapes but have not tried it yet. I was not sure if they had fixed it yet (don't remember from patch notes) but my friend ran it and it didn't seem to do much. He said they had their helmets off quickly. Have they even fixed where you can die from the trap with this add-on?

I had this one time where i think they removed the trap but they didnt and they didnt die but the trap was on they head.

Right. This is what I'm referring too. I have not ran it because if I play survivors that actually know what's going on they won't even bother to remove them. Soon as it's confirmed it's fixed I will try it.

I like Pig but, yeah, it shouldn’t be possible to bodyblock those jigsaw boxes, the survivors should be able to use them from different angles like generators to prevent that. Pig could still attack survivors going for the boxes, that’s fine, but the bodyblock thing just feels like a design oversight that should be tweaked.

Have been going against her 2 times now with that add on and i gotta say, I'm not impressed.
But tbh having a bear trap on never really did much to me, i just do a gen and then i go search for it to get it off.
I believe both times i got it on first try tho.

The easiest way to make Reverse Bear Traps not worth respecting is to make it guaranteed take less than four boxes to remove.

I didnt really think the add on would be worth using myself. Doesnt it remove all of your traps? The only way it could be worth it is by keeping your traps but applying extra traps at the start of the game. That way Pig isn't forced to camp her own boxes to get value in the early game. Otherwise its counterintuitive since camping your own boxes means you're not applying gen pressure. So you single yourself out even in the early game, which you dont want to do. Kind of a messy add on to me.

You should be able to have an extra bear trap by using Jigsaw's sketch as far as I'm aware. Pig camping her boxes is a troll build to piss people off. Don't take it serious.

I dont think 1 extra trap is going to help in the late game. Not when you have to choose between losing your gens or losing all of your pre-placed traps very early in the game. The addon sounds fun but when you think about it, its actually working against us... at least imo

I'd never run this addon. Sure, you delay the early game for a couple minutes max (and that's if the team is really altruistic and won't pop gens until everyone has their trap off, and you get lucky/they don't with RNG), and then you barely have a power. When playing Pig, I've always preferred to keep about one survivor box hunting at a time, to slow down the team's progress and always leave them second guessing about popping gens (which I can then harass with Ruin or PGTW.) If I wanted to inconsistently stall survivors at the start, I'd run Corrupt Intervention.
If they gave Pig 1 or 2 extra traps with it, sure, that'd be cool, and you could stack it with Jigsaw's Sketch for a decent build. As it is, no.

It's an addon, an Iridescent one at that, so it alone shouldn't be "solving" her early-game.
And no, it does not, but it does shake up how her early-game is played.

Lol the point of the add on is to help you in early game where the game is absolutely horrid at. That's the point of the entire thread. You can have all the perks in the world to help you mid to late game and if you played your cards right you should be to have one bear trap to keep someone doing nothing which is huge if you at least killed someone before the last gen.

I have no idea but the thought that an iridescent addon removes your power makes me laugh. When i tried it they just ignored and did gens, the trap popped and they still were alive so you are just griefing yourself if you use this addon.

Does that make much of a difference? You still have to get that trap off, if you ignore it, you still die.

Yes because it is far more likely to push back the time it takes for the stalling to kick in until AFTER the gen is already done. Putting on the Trap would no longer immediately give you breathing room.

I've played about 4 games against it as a survivors in gold/irridescent.
Game 1: Took both me and my comms partner till 4th box to break trap. Rando's popped 1st gen like the forums say to do, and partner died while she patrolled boxes instead of early gens. She also had the add on to hide boxes. Result: 2 Killed, 2 Escape.
Game 2: Solo Q. Boxes were visible. Took until box 4. Pig patrolled boxes, and got two survivors to hook state 1 and 1 survivor to hook state 2 before we all got untrapped. Result: 3 Killed, 1 hatch.
Game 3: Full premade. 2 players worked gens to high percentage, but Pig had ruin so most of the work was lost. Got off trap in 2nd box. Others averaged 2 tries as well. Result: 1 Killed, 3 Escape.
Game 4: Soloq. 1 player disconnected over the addon at start. On swamp so I had a hard time finding boxes. Got stuck in a long chase and a gen popped during. Died to the trap. Result: All died.

the problem is it's a case by case basis.
Game A: All survivors get hats off on the first box they go to, you got extremely low returns from the iri addon and now you have no traps
Game B: Survivors get hats off but had to go to multiple boxes, got pretty good return from the adddon
Game C: One or more survivors die to the hat. Got extreme value.
Due to the RNG nature of hats I don't think you can apply a blanket statement like 'this helped pigs early game' as each game maybe it will or maybe it won't and its such a massive change in her playstyle(hats throughout the match vs 0/1 hats)

I dunno if I'd like to play against starting with 4 hats, then her having 4 more to pass out. Maybe increase her +1 add on to +2.

I've played against this pig addon a few times and it really doesn't do anything.
A lot of pigs will also run the you can't see box auras when trap is inactive but that doesn't matter. It's not too difficult to find boxes to check since they make sound and you often spawn near one at the start. Pretty much by the time the first gen pops we've already removed the traps. Now the killer has no more traps to delay survivors and the gens fly. And many of the pigs struggled to get a down within the early stall as well.
You are simply better of not wasting the addon slot on it because it frontloads all your pressure and gives you nothing once you start getting survivors down.

Pig main who had 185 of those tapes before they suddenly turned Iri.
They suck now. RPD is a good way to get some value from them, but the average player will be able to get them off fairly quickly on most maps, because the way RBTs are designed it just gives the Pig extra objectives to pressure as essentially an M1 killer - the best counterplay to a Pig ambush on most maps is just to zip to the next loop while she's faking the first time. So you're giving up your midgame slow - the part which makes Pig really effective - in order to gamble on an early snowball which just won't happen on even a halfway coordinated SoloQ.

This add-on really isn't up to par like we thought it would be. I think it's a substitute for Corrupt, with the downside of having no traps for the rest of the game. 3 people get their head traps off, and 1 does a gen/gets chased. It's not gonna lead to massive slowdown or pressure or head pops. If the headtraps started on the survivors AND she had 4 to use like normal, then she might even be viable. But it's not an OP add-on like we assumed it would be.

It's not an immediate breathing room, but the extra time is the same.
And that's assuming you didn't get unlucky and they took it off, first try.

Yeah for 1 killer. Just like the same problem when she launched back then. People wanted more gen pressure and we got it, only with her though. Since she came with game delay but that didn't solve the issue. It solved it kinda for 1 killer.

Pig gets her stall from 1 Survivor at a time being "on-hook" and not participating in Healing/Unhooking/Repairing while their Trap is active.
If you wanted to have all 4 Traps on at once be "effective", it would need to start one trap at a time for each generator completed, with Survivors unable to search for the Key while their trap was inactive.
Currently at most it's thematic and unique while not being complete garbage.
But also giving her in effect 8 Traps will be rather oppressive and while more "viable", not very fun to go against.

Could have been a good add on if it didn't subtract from your 4 traps, but it does, so it's really not worth using.
