Ok I just remembered what trickster recoil is. Yea its a really dumb thing.

Feels like it. It’s really jarring and make landing multiple knives at mid to long range basically impossible for controller. I don’t even know why they thought it was a good idea.

If I could recommend something about Trickster it would be to never throw knives at mid/long range. That's why the recoil is there... so you're not spamming recoilless knives across the map

Hell, making lands at short range is a pain in the ass with Trickster on console. It is absolutely baffling why BHVR thought this was a good idea as Trickster is useless on the console. He is one of the only killers I downright refuse to use unless my hand is forced with the few Archive challenges and even then, I will just throw the match to get his stupid crap done just so I don't have to play as him again.
Which sucks because the concept and aesthetics and mannerism and everything about the design of the character is top notch. He's just Hell to play as.

I just feel like the recoil should be the opposite. Instead of acting like a Desert Eagle and ramping up his speed. He should slow down and the arc should increase downward as he gets tired of throwing all those knives at rapid speed. It would have the same effect of making him bad, but also make more sense.

Id be ok with this change personally, but it would still negatively impact controller players...
only thing I can say is try to move your control sticks in short bursts rather than adjusting the recoil after every shot. Plus the recoil should get better over time as your knives get faster.

Don't forget in addition to recoil he also used to have random spread, lots of fun
