I need your opinion on Second Wind (Renewal)

The broken status effect can encourage the killer to find me again for an easy down?

I would like to know if this perk is good enough.

Yeah it's good. Your not broken long enough to encourage the killer to try to look for you and down you again unless already planned on it. Also allows more time for gens if that's your thing.

For me on killer side if I saw that you had been unhooked in my face I would probably try to get the hit on you even if you had bt since I know about the perk. This would make it so you don't get the health state back without assistance elsewhere.

If you run DS a lot, you may appreciate what SW does. Instead of being allergic to everything, SW allows you to banzai generators or other objectives.

I gotta run it more myself tbh

It would be a great perk if the requirement weren’t so restrictive.

It’s okay, and can be a nice timesave since you don’t need to spend time healing. But I don’t think its effects are strong enough for what you need to do to activate it, aka healing someone else.

A couple months ago I tried it for around 20 games or so. Basically every time, it led to one of these 3 outcomes:

    1. The killer didn’t come back to the hook, I got healed automatically, 20 seconds saved
    2. I didn’t get to heal anyone before being hooked so it didn’t do anything
    3. I got tunneled off hook and downed with no BT, and thought to myself “DS would have been more useful”

In other words, I like the idea of the perk, but I think it often comes up short when you really need it. I think I would change it to make it take 30 seconds, but not require healing someone else/have it be always active after you get unhooked. It already has the inherent risk that if the killer downs you soon after you get unhooked, then you lose it entirely. I don’t think it needs an activation condition on top of that.

It's a good perk. The broken effect doesn't last long enough for the killer to be encouraged to look for you and the perk can help against tunnelling in some instances.

It pairs well with Off the Record if you need to make a quick escape after being unhooked. Your grunts are 100% silenced & and your aura is hidden for quite some time. So you get on a safe gen away from your last hook. Resilience may even be good to add to it as well.

Realistically, you'd have to pair this with Unbreakable, Decisive Strike, Deliverance, Sprint Burst and / or maybe Dead Hard. Those would be some good synergies. I'm def missing some though.

The perk is good but it's requirement is very strict. There are going to be plenty of matches where it will never trigger.

In a world where all perk work like this it would be very good.

But sadly the meta is so concistant this just gets outshined.

Why run this which has a chance to never activate over DS that automagicly activates without any requirement whatsoever.
