Why are killer mains crying when they are still favoured by the kill rate?

Along those lines it would be interesting to see what the percentages are for 0 kills, 1 kill, 2 kills, 3 kills and 4 kills among matches where all five players are in the top, say, 5% or 10% of players. (So filter all matches in the last month down to just ones where all players had very high hidden MMRs and count how many games fall in those five buckets.) I think that histogram could give a decent idea of where the game is overall at high level. Ideally most matches would be in the 1-3 range assuming they’re shooting for some survivors live and some die being the most common outcomes.
Even better is having those numbers listed for each killer. That would give an idea of if a particular killer is off the mark somehow.

because they don't.

I know and then all kinds of people read everything between heaven and earth into those stats.

A lot of killer players (or DbD players in general) wildly over-estimate their skill level in my experience. Killer still isn't that hard with MMR turned on.
I think the power difference between solo and SwF is an issue that leads to killers reaching an MMR they shouldn't be at. It's very easy to rack up 4ks on disorganized solos. Then they run into players above their skill level.

If Bhvr showed escape rates were anything above 50% killer mains would lose their minds with how much the stats mattered. But not if they show kill rates.
:^)

I still don't trust stats.

What's not to trust about them? Is this some grand conspiracy from bhvr? Does jet fuel melt steel beams? DID WE LAND ON THE MOON?

The data that BHVR provides is flawed though. All it does is tell us the kill rate, it doesn't tell us how those kills happened. Were they 1,2 or 3 hooks? Were they overly altruistic players that focused more on trying to go for unhooks and not work on the gens? How many were AFK kills? What's the percentage of those kills that are from survivors killing themselves on first hook? What's the percentage of kills that are from survivors unsafely unhooking directly in front of the killer causing that survivor to get killed? What's the kill percentage in high MMR vs low MMR? BHVR has a history of throwing out flawed data to back their reasoning for them not making certain changes. None of their data should be taken at face value.

Stats aren't very useful if you don't understand statistics. Which I doubt anyone here has a masters in statistics or something.

You mean like Nurse's and trickster's?
O wait no one is losing their minds about that!
Did you even look at the stats?

Did anyone say these killers didn't need a buff? What?

Ok.

Ding ding ding!
Cenobite is very strong against new players. He gets rocked by SWFs and good survivors.
Nurse is the only remaining S+ tier killer in the game on most lists, and she has the lowest kill rates by a mile.
This data is being thrown off extensively by large numbers of extremely newer or less skilled survivors and killers.
Want to be really depressed though?
BHVR will nerf a killer hard because they are too difficult for new players to deal with (Wraith), but won't buff a killer that's too hard for new players to succeed with (Nurse).

You do realize dpi really doesn't influence blight anymore right? That was patched out with heli blight when they made the turn rate cap a hard one instead of soft. And by soft I mean original z flicks where the turn rate cap would reset if you stopped mid flick to flick again. Now you get perma capped once you look 90 degrees with a little extra turning by the normal rush turn speed of 1m/s.

Behaviour makes changes for High MMR, based on medium and low MMR.
So, they base their changes on Potato survivors that can't Hold a Chase more than 15 seconds if they are not on Pig map or Haddonfun.... And then that potato survivor complain at forums because a killer must play tunneling and camping because thanks to that changes based on noob players but pro players oriented, the Game is on this pathetic state.
So, my dear, you don't loose the games because Killers are OP, you loose because you are on potato MMR playing with Potato team mates and being a Potato, even if that can hurt your feelings. If a survivor can't Hold a Chase with how survivor sided Maps are.... Is not killer problem

I don't think nurse needs a buff
