Playing Killer is Miserable This Patch
No, it's not because of Boon Totems, not really.
The fact that Dead Hard and Pallet Stuns (i think) are now calculated on the Survivor side is insane. How anybody thought this was acceptable is beyond me because it's absolutely horrendous while playing as Killer. This is honestly the best Console Survivor patch that has ever come out.
You know those survivors playing on the Switch? As hot as the sun's surface to the touch because this game isn't optimized at all? Playing on WiFi with the router on the other side of the house? Yeah, those people are easily the strongest players in the game right now.
You can hit them all you want, but because it worked on their side, you heard a disorienting scream and just watch as they run away none the wiser of what just happened. They were already doing some of the jankiest, most laggy dead hards imaginable, now they're being rewarded for it.
Coupled with the fact that while you're chasing these mutants for hours on end plus now people are just healing wherever with boon totems and it's truly a wonder why this game is so survivor-sided. Playing this game feels like Dark Souls multiplayer, you swear things hit but nope, their side takes priority.
The only way to avoid this is to play Ranged killers, but by that I mean play Huntress because apparently people are so sick of Trickster that they'd rather DC than even attempt to fight against him.
I just want to play the game dude, how the game still in this state after FIVE YEARS

He not wrong in his main point though, it is miserable. Dbd has a real issue with their meta, people wanted it to change and be more balanced but instead of actually balancing the meta perks, they release new perks that are on the same level or even more broken. Circle of healing is a perk that covers an area and anyone can use it, no cooldown, no limitations. If it is snuffed out you spend a handful of seconds and it is back again full power. Dead hard now has hit validation same as pallets and while you can argue that the hit you see on your screen shouldn't have counted anyway so you are not losing anything, it doesn't take away from the fact that it feels TERRIBLE to have that happen as a killer. Straight up makes the game feel like it runs like garbage. Shadowstep makes tracking a nightmare especially for newer killers which is the most engaging part of the entire game AND it can be blessed right alongside circle of healing. You make a gigantic safe haven for anyone that enters the area and it blocks auras TOO as if 1 benefit wasn't enough. This isnt even touching the fact that multiple people can use these perks.
To win in higher MMR (another joke decision) as killer you need to snowball but that is impossible if everyone can heal themselves quickly with a never ending supply of boon totem save areas. To me it is pretty clear that the devs dont actually play the game they make because if they did they would see that they are nowhere near a good spot for this game. This isnt even the first patch to bring this sort of reaction from the community, remember how absolutely busted ruin/undying was at the start? Anyone who read those perk descriptions knew right away that it was ridiculous yet somehow the devs who have spent a long time working on these perks didn't notice!?
I also think that the amount of monetizing that this game puts into making the next shiny cosmetic to squeeze precious auric cells out of their players instead of making actual game changes shows that the gameplay isnt their priority. In the end it just feels bad as someone who loved this game for a long time, always had excitement for the hope of this game becoming better and in the end being let down. Their lazy efforts have finally drained me.
I think they did a pretty terrible job so far.
