Perks like BT (borrowed time) and DH (dead hard) should be in the base kit of the survivor. And I'm sure this sounds crazy too but hear me out on this one:

The "map" item is barely used by anyone because... let's be honest it's the most useless item in the game... i could imagine a new use for it:

EVERY totem no matter if a Hex or not seems "dull" but you still can cleanse every totem as you want, with the use of the map you can see if a totem is a hex.

why this change? Well right now it is way too easy on A LOT maps and their spawn to just go there and BAM every hex gone, especially when they are somewhat good it is no problem, either through luck or communication, to find hex totems, it would also be good as some hex totems spawn right next to a survivor at the start.

For the killer NOED should be in the base kit as well, even though I'm not sure if that would be too strong, but to balance out free DH and BT.

While these changes are may very "random" if they would get into the game they would slow down overall rushing of games and would give both sides for a come-back.
