Nemesis Mutation 3 Problem
Having played Nemesis on the day it was released, I found the Killer fun enough to main him for a while. At that time, I could score 4K easily, mainly because Survivors were still adjusting to the new Killer. However, nowadays when trying to play him, it feels like something has changed dramatically about his performance...
Out of 20 games I played with him, only two times were I able to reach mutation level 3 before the last-gen was repaired, just enough time to get some value out of the power before the survivors managed to escape or be sacrificed to the entity. The rest of the games, however, I managed to reach mutation level 3 only in the end game after the final gen was repaired, at which point there was barely any value in his power.
Now you might think, well, maybe you just don't know how to farm the mutation and waste too much time doing something else. But that's the thing, all I did in these 20 games was aim to reach mutation 3 by whipping anyone near gen while applying pressure. I did not chase people around for ages, I simply just focused all my efforts to just reach mutation 3 as quickly as possible, yet the process takes ages even with addons and more often than not results in only end game benefits that simply are not enough to justify the trouble and sacrifice one must do to reach the final form.
I would like to hear from other Nemesis players out there if they are also struggling to reach mutation level 3 and if anyone have any tips and tricks that I could try out to improve my game, seeing as I clearly lack the skill despite of being a veteran at the game.

Use Marvin's Blood.
No, but seriously, the difference between having the Add-on and not having it is drastic. In my opinion, they should burn a part of it into Nemesis's basekit and nerf the Add-on because reaching Tier 3 without it can take a pretty long time and I don't think there is a faster way of getting it without using the Add-on.. unfortunately.

Take add-ons for zombie mutation and whip them as much as possible when you can.
You don't need tier3 as Nemesis is literally the worse Pyramid head. I LOVE Nemesis, he's my main. But i have to say that the zombies are often useless but IF they are useful it feels rewarding. Most times I just whip them when they are stuck or if I'm not in a direct chase. Not only do you get mutation levels, but you also can get them to a new position where they apply pressure for you.
1 more zombie would already be strong, but with a good team they just use the flashlight on them, so use that information to get to them, if you get good hits on survivors, take mutation rate on them with you. you don't need oblivious, exposed or extended time, this stuff is just a waste of time and most perks do that for you anyways.
If you say you are efficient with him, you can get mutation level 2 with 3 whips on survivor, i think 7(?) to level 3, but don't quote me on that. You should only use the whip if you can't reach m1, except if you want to be "cool" and only use his power, it's fun but it's dodgeable. If you can record a session it would be easier to see where problems occur.
Play WITH the zombies, don't hope they run into them, if they do, fine for you, if not, that's normal, try movement speed on zombies so you maybe get one infected for free, it helps if you struggle to get to tier 3

I've switched from slinger to nemesis and been playing him a lot since he released, the mutation speed is mostly fine I'd say. It is a bit silly that you can't reach tier 2 on one survivor without using Marvin's blood but if you switch or just down them fast enough it's usually fine.
Reaching T3 is very important as T3 actually does huge difference in some structures with the added meter of whip distance. Getting there really depends on how well I play and how good are the survivors I'm chasing. Some teams are extremely easy to tier up on, others do amazing pathing and predict the whip and drag really well so it becomes a struggle if you're not spot on.
For most of my games, it's alright. Nemesis isn't top tier killer by any means but against fairly good teams he still performs pretty well.
I still wish we got more the 3 tiers so that you can scale into absolute moster if you land your whip properly and game drags on a bit. It would be so much fun if the scaling of his power was more then, you break pallets now and you reach 1m more.

Anybody else find Tier 2 to be a lot more useful? Sure Tier 3 is nice but unlocking the ability to chew through pallets in record time is way more powerful.

The distance is glutch for sure. You can hit insane windows or over certain objects. The difference from Tier 1 to Tier 2 is enourmous and a lot fun to just WHIP everything out of your way :D and sometimes i just punch a zombie for fun

Why aren't you using those Add ons to help you with mutations once you hit Survivors or Zombies lol. You should have figured that out if you have been using the killer on release. Having those add ons and not having it the difference between night and day. You just level up your Mutation quick.

I have been using him A LOT lately and I have no issues with this. I am even out of MB and still have no issue. First survivor you see....Whip and leave them to find another. The time spent is returned when they cure. Hitting an infected survivor give barely anything so aim to hit multiple non infected. I don't destroy pallets at start because I know I will hit tier 2 quickly.

It's incredible slow but Marvin's Blood and Admin Wristband are basically his only good addons and both are yellow, so I don't mind. It would be cool to have a basekit buff and an addon rework though.

Huh, I do quite fine with Nemesis' base-kit and I play him a lot. What perks and add-ons do you use?

Tier 3 increases your movement speed while charging up tentacle strike, which, along with the mini range boost, is pretty useful. However tier 2 is where you begin to shine in chases.
