Gen speeds aren't a problem, it's the amount of objectives
As a killer main i can tell you that gens fly like crazy during tough games, however i don't think the problem would be solved by adding more time to the completion, survivors just don't have anything else to do during the critical parts of the game, that's why it's so common for 2 or 3 gens to pop at the beginning, no one needs to be saved, healed or picked up, even things like totems for the most part aren't particularly impactful, you don't need to break ruin to complete a generator. If survivors had more to do, the game wouldn't end at break neck speeds.
During the last QnA the devs talked about the new mori system involving parts of the early game collapse mechanic that was discussed, im hoping that the new system involves a new objective for the survivors to complete.

I made a topic if Piggy's video tape add on solved the problem with Early game where Survivors had nothing to do and this might provide some incentives or some sense of urgency. It just turned into a discussion about the add on getting abused lol
