Why so many Face-campers? (any advice for countering would be greatly appreciated)
just went against a handful of hardcore face-campers in a row.
like, I want to play DBD, not have a staring contest.
I don't get it. (also, no Mikaelas in any of these games, so that's not a reason)

Also, any advice would be great.
(to clarify, by camp, I don't mean the whiny version that people say when they mean being on the map, I mean like, spending all their time close enough to hit/ actively hitting the hooked survivor)
I know it's a "valid strategy" and all, but, why? how's that supposed to be fun for anyone?

If the killer is camping especially in the basement, it's better to keep working on gens.
Sometimes even Borrowed Time can't save the situation.
I suggest you to use Kindred. it will show you what is going on around you. where the killer is going, what your teammates are doing and if one of them are going for the save.
When you're injured, you want to use Iron Will to hide well and escape from the chase.
You can use it with Lucky Break to make it even harder to find you.
Decisive Strike can be a good pick as well but it will not help you much, because the killer will not let go of your tail anyway unless you are really good in the chase and they are leaving you for someone else.
Against campers always focus on gens and finish them as fast as possible. hide whenever you need and escape without waiting for anyone. this is the only way i know, sometimes i manage to do it and sometimes not it's depends on our teammates as well.
