Are you getting tunneled because of a key these days?
How is your experience since the last change of the hatch and keys?

I play killer and I can attest that I've not had any cause to prioritise someone with a key anymore. Right now when I see one I go "damn, really" and go about the trial as normal.

Haven’t used a key since..
but my friend found one randomly in a chest and got tunneled and mori‘d for this. And I am sure of this because the killer then proceeded to stand on the key and not even moved when I came near. Me and the other two randoms finished the gens and walked out.. all while the killer stayed there and wasn’t even afk (was curious and looked a few times)

im getting tunelled even without the key, so nothing has changed for me

As a Killer, I don't see a lot of people with keys in the lobby.
But even if I'd see 4 people with keys -- I don't have a reason to tunnel now, since the hatch issue got fixed and only 1 can escape.
Before this change, yes, 1 key in the lobby was the reason to tunnel everyone and make everyone's game as unpleasant as possible.

Keys are where they probably should be now, they’re high risk high reward. If you aren’t the last survivor the key won’t matter. But if you are then there’s a much better chance of escaping since, even if the killer finds the hatch before you do, you can still open it after it’s closed. So when it works it’s an escape worth 5000 points and a bit of a Grade boost possibly, but it won’t work most of the time. If you figure, say, 30% of games don’t have the exits open at the end, and there’s about a 1/4 chance of you being the last survivor, then a key could help you escape about 8% of the time, which is an average of about 400 points value per match.
It’s tough to say if that’s better or worse than a typical med kit or tool box. Those items are obviously more reliable, you can use them up every time you have them. But how much they actually increase your probability of escaping versus not having the item is the question. You get a benefit but how much roughly in points for instance? A single toolbox can shave off up to maybe 20 seconds of time on gens in a match. But how much is 20 seconds worth in terms of extra bp? It could be the difference between gates being opened or closed, but how often? It’s hard to quantify, 🤷♂️
I guess the point, if I have one, is if you carry keys then over he long run they’ll probably earn you about 400 points back per match over time, as well as boosting your escape totals by a small amount. Whether that’s better or worse than toolboxes, medkits or flashlights is up to you.

Much better. I don’t have to sweat anymore because of an item, and I don’t have to worry about being abandoned by my teammates if I see a key in lobby.

There's no point to anymore... so anyone doing so didn't read the patch notes.

Keys got a mite wrecked with the hatch nerf, but the latter needed to happen. I am seeing a weird number of people with keys, these days - I think people might be seeing an uptick in Blood Amber or just wanting to rid themselves of keys.

I saw someone with a key + hatch offering who was trying to do an Adept achievement, that's probably one of the better uses for them these days.

I can't really say because I don't bring keys now and I never brought them before the nerf either. Old keys were incredibly unfair and I just refused to bring them because of that, with nerfed keys I wouldn't feel as bad but I don't usually bring items anyways and if I did I'd rather have something else.
In the few games since the nerf where I've pulled them out of chests (I think like 3 total), no, I haven't been targeted for it and in 2 of those 3 games I escaped through the exit gates/didn't need the key to get out.

Keys arent a problem nowdays, if anything boon users in general seem to be the new tunnel target, wich in all honesty in dont blame any killer for that, CoH and shadow step are idioticaly strong

As a killer main I don't even acknowledge the existence of keys most of the time. And the times I see them in my lobby I mostly just assume that they have blood amber (which they usually do, often with built to last) and just play assuming that I can't mind game anything.

As killer I don't really care if a survivor brings a key.
As survivor I can't really say because I rarely bring items into games.

Have I been getting tunneled for bringing a key these days? No because I don't bring keys
Have I tunneled people for bringing keys into the match these days? No because that's dumb. With how far they nerfed keys, at this point I say it's fair play if you can outmaneuver enough to get that far into the match anyways.

As a survivor I always avoided them in my bloodwebs. Now I wish I had them to use for the aura reading.
