DH + IW is a disgusting combo I’ll never run
In my opinion this combo will give you such an advantage in chase that it’s unfair. You have Iron Will to eliminate a tracking element and give you a loop advantage where there’s no good fov of the survivor. And Dead Hard eliminates a potential mistake of yours or allows you to reach another loop you wouldn’t otherwise. Personal opinion and I’ll run them, but never together.

Both perks are in need of changes in my opinion. Hell, I'd even argue that both of them could use an activation requirement other than simply getting injured.

I think that maybe dead hard should make you broken, and no-mither should help counterbalance that fact.

I'm okay with IW. It's a strong perk, but I don't think it's too nuts.
Dead Hard is ridiculous. It was a meta perk before the 'fix' (see: buff) and now it also has the additional bonus of glitching out certain killer powers and giving misleading information with false hits.
It felt like it was balanced around it's quirks, and probably needs some adjusting now.
I'm sure BHVR will nerf Pinhead to fix it.

IW might be fine but DH is the big issue here.

Iron will is the big problem.
3 -
I don't want iron will nerfed its one of the only way to stealth in this game.

Sprint Burst, Lithe, Balanced, and Dead Hard should all require a safe unhook in order to activate them for use. That would take away their use in the first chase which would allow the killer to build pressure earlier and slow the game down. Iron Will just needs to do something else entirely because the devs clearly don't know how to program it properly. Survivors using it don't breathe, you can't hear footsteps cause of the blaring chase music, and I'm pretty sure it's causing all of the sound bugs in the game like the no noise on the ground. It's insanely unfun to go against and it destroys Spirit. Nerf that ######### into the ground. It's amazing how many survivors are hard carried by DH, IW & comms

Controversial opinion: both perks are fine.
Keep calm and carry on

What is the risk with IW?

With the new survivor sided hit validation, Dead Hard also lets you ignore a blatant hit you get for your missed timing. So not only it fixes your mistakes in looping, it now also fixes your mistakes in timing of the perk itself!

Its not all that risky if you wait tell they try to mind game and take off boom they don't even know you left at all. IW is really strong if you can lose los but the fact that it's an equip and it just works. It a powerful perk without any requirement or downside

I agree. And I will continue to use it every game because why not? Its too good not to use

Iw is fine perks as long as it doesn't bug during game. When it makes u completely invisible cause sound bugged, it's too strong. When not, it's a fine perk.
Dh is stupidly easy to use and gives big advantage. That's why people joke *press E to win". It should either dash or i frames. Not both.

Maybe something like when you're exhausted, Iron Will is not effective... so your character is literally out of breath and their breathing returns to 100% volume

I get what you mean my point is more you can run IW and not change your playstyle and get plenty of value with no risk or draw back. The only killer its a huge problem for is spirit any other killer its just annoying to play against

if you play on console iw might hard to track with pad controlling and 30fps
but on pc only dh is op because buffed its user and give a middle finger agans its most favored hit detection

Controversial but one that many share. Certainly I have no issue with either when I play killer.
Both are strong, but we can say the same thing about Ruin/Tinkerer.
0 -
iron will is something to complain about? maybe for spirit but really, just follow scratch marks and blood pools and a lil bit of your brain cells
4 -
i wouldnt say iron will has a risk at all. if you play injured the whole game, that's your playstyle, not a downside of running iron will. iron will is just a straight benefit and removes one of the downsides of being injured entirely and has the added effect of removing breathing all together.

For some folks it is VERY hard to do that apparently. I.E. They are horrible at tracking.
0 -
If they’re at a certain point like the window at shack and they stand still because the killer can’t hear them and they have the third person it’s in their advantage especially with how hard tracking scratches or foot steps are on certain maps
0 -
They are fine. Just bait dead hard and look for the blood pools.
0 -
Just have x ray vision to track scratches and blood through walls 4head
1 -
Not the real life comparison that doesn't exist in DbD.
Of course you don't use that combo.
Empathy to fellow killer mains.
But you use Ruin, Pop, Corrupt, Tinkerer or Ruin, Undying, Corrupt, Tinkerer. No shame there.

you have no risk having iron will tf are you talking about

We should at least get breathing sounds on IW for stridor to proc. A perk shouldn’t cancel another one.
1 -
Yeah, I kind of wish they’d tweak Iron Will to reduce sounds by 95% instead of 100%, mainly because of it’s interaction with Stridor. By reducing them 100% Iron Will is completely negating Stridor, which seems odd. (You’d think Stridor would at least make it easier to hear someone with Iron Will compared to normal, but it’s no difference because of that 100% reduction).

Follow the blood injured survivors leave behind :) There are worst things to complain about than iron will
1 -
They should swap no mither's noise reduction with iron will's. It's ridiculous to me that no mither doesn't give 100% noise reduction considering just how much of a risk it is to run. As for iron will, it's just too strong.
0 -
He probably thinks it’s a risk because you have to be injured for it to activate. 🤣 SMH.

It should exist.. it would make it counterintuitive to run exhaust perks and Iron Will together. This would make builds more unique, as they should be.
