When will killers get some form of an anti-boon perk?
Like so far survivors have gotten quite a few anti-hex perks and I was really expecting for artist to get one but they didnt. Do you think the chapter after next will have one or will we be waiting even longer?

There already is one. Its called Thrill of the Hunt.

whispers for boons so you can specifically know which way to look.

Hex perks have been out since the release of the Hag, of course there are going to be more counters in the game.
Personally I'd rather they focus on creating good to strong perks than wasting one for the sole purpose of countering a perk the survivors might not have or get much use out of.

And Undying.

Thrill never helps me as my issue is normally finding the boons once they are up.

Hex: Undying shows survivors interacting with dull totems, so even that on it's own can give you good information as to where boons are being placed.

since they gutted thrill they should make it show all totem auras and reveal boon totem locations by making that totem aura blue so it can at least be a good anti boon perk

undying and thrill are both really good.

It will probably be the next content drop. They have to make sure boons are a huge problem in game. Its easier to sell the solution that way.

You're going to need an anti-developer perk whose idea breakable walls and boons were if you don't want terrible ideas like them plaguing this game now and into the future

It's "supposedly" Thrill of the Hunt. However realistically we don't have one as Thrill is pretty mediocre.
Now if Thrill wasn't a hex itself, then it would be pretty decent. It's not good enough to warrant being a hex.
I'd like to see more boon counters too, but honestly boons need to be adjusted at base. We shouldn't need to waste another perk slot as a bandaid fix for bad design.

You do realize the boon I light when I spawn is across the map and when it's snuffed I'm on the other side of the map splitting gen pressure and the second it's BLUE LIGHT is out I'm blessing a new one I scoped on my travels LOL HE/SHE CAN'T REACH ME IN TIME :)
Thrill of the Hunt is SOFT and designed for bots.

Never ever.

What do you mean by anti-boon? You may be entitled to your 4k, but we are entitled to our heals, loops and our will to survive. 😋

Hmm... where have I seen this before? Oh yeah, just about every killer play style.

Thrill of the Hunt, but they nerfed it so it can't counter boons

ToTH is, sadly, a hex. Boon teams naturally cleanse hexes quite fast. It doesn't last long enough to be realistic as a counter.
This isn't just a strawman, it's a full on Strawzilla!
By 'anti boon', something that makes boon-based teams a bit more manageable on some killers. They are just too much of a hard counter to attrition based killers as is (CoH is the prime offender) and there isn't much counterplay. The time it can take to find and snuff the boon (especially on indoor maps where it can project between floors) combined with it being easy to just relight is a problem.
Killers need something like 'Small Game'.

You mean the hex the gets broken at the beginning of the match? Nah. That's not a counter.
I also don't agree with perks to counter them. Totems just need to be breakable. Perks to counter broken perks is a band aid.

ToTH does nothing. The slowdown is 50% which sounds great, but they removed notification of when a Survivor interacts with a totem so it does nothing in terms of anti-boon. More so used to slow down the match.
Undying IS useful when they are blessing/cleansing a dull totem. But that's the issue, it has to be a dull totem. If your Undying is the first thing that is taken out in the game, or they are blessing a hex totem, then Undying does absolutely nothing for you.
What he probably means by anti-boon is something that will negate allowing the Survivor to continuously bless a totem, such as destroying it overall. Another anti-boon method is getting notified when a survivor begins cleansing/blessing a totem, and not with a hex perk, but an actual perk.

Thrill is huge slowdown if survivors want to run boons
Thrill with a full hex build pretty much means no boons unless survivors get really lucky or spend close to a minute blessing your hex
The best anti boon perk is Small game and actually playing survivor once in a while. You don't need to look for them if you have a general idea where they are.

Basically lol.

The same can be said about a lot of killer perks. But it doesn’t work that way does it?
It only fits the narrative when it’s in your favour.
”just do bones lol, it’s a one time hex.”
”just snuff boons.”
inb4 boons can be relight endless times, killers have to waste time!!
So do the survivors that have to spend time booning and rebooning.
Hex perks also have a much bigger impact on the game.

Funny thing is even if there was one I wouldn't use it.
They are very easy to find.

Don’t forget the things killers can do without perks too! Camping, slugging, tunneling. Yet survivors have to “waste” a perk slot in the off chance any or all of these happen to them.

Undying, Retribution and Haunted Grounds are really good together for punishing survivors who insist on cleansing/blessing.
Running a Hex heavy build might not sound attractive to killers but it's the best option you've got right now. You can see your own lit Hex totems at the start of the match so you'll know where they are should they be cleansed/blessed over. Additionally, it takes considerably longer to bless a hex totem which means more time wasted on the survivors end.
Exposed from Haunted Grounds and aura reveal from Retribution will let you get an easy down and bypass CoH as well as things like Dead Hard and start snowballing pressure.
If you're not going to do a hex heavy build I highly recommend Bloodhound to help with tracking people through Shadow Step and catching people trying to heal themselves since Nurse's Calling won't help but nobody believes me on the Bloodhound thing.

Great post, but most experienced killers won’t need Bloodhound to track or see blood. The rest of your comment is good advice though!

Yeah Im probably just being a boomer coming back to the game after a few months xD. I was just kinda expecting one with artist and was pretty surprised when we didnt get one.

I dont think both of Boons counters should be hexes. TBH Im probably just ######### at finding totems but I would still like to see a BBQ for boons, hook a survivor every boon outside of 32m is revealed for a bit.

Killers could use a tome blocking perk, but why should killers sacrifice another perk slot to counter survivor strengths......
