Someone of these challenges as a solo survivor are a pain

So I mostly play as a solo survivor as most of my friends gave up on this game long ago. I'm trying to finish old challenges and one of them is where you have to unhook someone who's unhooked you before and good god this is just a pain as solo survivor due to the lack of info you have. I'm currently on my 9th attempt and I still cant get it done.
