Why is every new killer only good at looping
Is it just me or every single new killer is just godlike loop potential and thats all?
Like we have nemesis that is a vault the window get hit by tentacle, dont vault it get punched
Trickster is spam knives at survivor and move because they cant move faster when crouching so they are getting hit from every 6th knife until they are downed
The artist is just i'll leave a crow here and you find another loop or get hit
The cenobite has more counterplay because you get warned when he opens a portal but he is still only good at looping maybe being a bit helped by his passive chains but gets countered by a good survivor team
And these are 4 in a row anti looping potential killers that are in dbd. I know that it's hard to come with a good killer ideea and i don't really want to say that i dont appreciate the developers for making a large variety of killers but i would like to see more killers that are better in other situations or just not having a ranged attack
If you guys have a different opinion about this subject or just think im wrong let me know, i would really appreciate more opinions

Nemesis is really not very strong, yes his outplay: even if you miss you may get the pallet, is strong. But it doesn't help when are immobile
The new killer "the artist" is basically trying to fix what they can't fix otherwise, lots of infos and some new perk that is already weaker than everyone thought, because of a typo.
Most strong killers need to push survivors away from gens, not loops. Survivors have a lot tools to have a comeback. Dh, bt, ds, flashlights etc.
Trickster is very weak on maps where you can take sharp turns, you wont get enough knives on people, loops are secondary and mostly to waste his time breaking pallets (throw them early).
Cenobite is overall nice for short gap-closes, but overall his portal mechanic is slow and inefficent. Nurse and blight are always the better alternative.

because mobility killer is failed design
you can't saw a sane survivor with a billy
so i can't see any billy in my games
but freddy not so dead
least he can prevent multiple usage of windows
so teleport have some meaning

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I think i overexaggerated with the power of each killer, thinking the best potential of them which is rarely encountered.

Hillbilly is my favorite killer giving that 2017 nostalgia but you are right, even if it's very satisfying to be fastest man alive you still cant saw survivors with ears and eyes

Because if the killer have no anti loop the killer wont sell because the killer will suck against survivor with a half a brain

Most of the content can be achieved for free. It's not selling issue.
I would say m1 killer without any impact on the game would be very boring to play. And that's main problem.

You invest your time in the game so the character is not free. You playing the game for X amount can make it so you buy more cosmetic for the killer. If the killer is bad and a killer whitout any anti loop is bad they are going to make less money out of cosmetic and sale

Probably because EVERY SINGLE KILLER since Ghostaface had good or strong anti-loop power.
Blight - godly antiloop when played properly, guaranteed hits which when well aimed are unavoidable.
PH - antiloop power that goes throw walls requiring a lot of pippoint predictions or getting really close with good LOS.
Deahstliner - speaks for itself.
Oni - delayed snowball antiloop power that is among best in the game capable of 4 man slugging everyone under 1 min if survivors reveal themselfs.
Demogorgon - Shred is amazing at cutting loops short and zoning, another good antiloop power.
Ghostface - 100% complete stealth strategical power with exposed options so it's understandable he doesn't have any actul antiloop since he's supposed to end chases before they even start
And many more killers before GF are the same.
Ofc all of these have more gimmicks thrown into the mix but about 90% of DBD killers do have antiloop powers, some stronger, some weaker but in the end every power exists to help killers beat survivors in chase since that's what matters the most and creates most interesting gameplay.
Nobody wants to play vs killer who doesn't bring anything interesting or new to the chase and is just plain M1 killer who's power slows down gen repair speed by 50%, that's an excuse for a power.
Would it be nice if devs could come up with something really unique and new so that new killer doesn't need antiloop power ? Yes but that's work and a lot of thinking which is hard so probably not worht the effort for them to leave the working 110% and 115% killer formula.

Pinhead is a 1v4 killer and survivors complained endlessly about how his power was a secondary objective over gens.

"Ghostface - 100% complete stealth strategical power with exposed options so it's understandable he doesn't have any actul antiloop since he's supposed to end chases before they even start"
Too bad he is bad at his own play-style. Stalking often gives away his position and he has no gap-close to confirm the downs after he has marked someone. If I was designing a killer to have easy games as survivor, he checks all the boxes.

There is something of an arms race going on right now - as survivors, even intermediate survivors get better and better at chaining loops together into frustrating chases or sneaking around the map doing gens, combined with the addition of boons is making playing killer quite difficult. To compensate, killers are usually given more anti-loop and sometimes traversal/information tools.
I'm not really sure what else they could add. Instadown killers are a problem because they are frustrating to play against and tend to incentivize camping. Stealth killers crush new players as does any killer with a side objective.
Thus it's going to be unga-bunga type anti-loopers.

Band aid fixes. Instead of fixing totally safe loops and gen efficiency, BHVR prefers to keep releasing killers that ignore these safe loops and down survivors in 10 seconds.
