Chapter: Swordsman Among The Dead
+Killer: The Samurai
Real Name: Haruto Nagomi

Attack Animation: The Samurai raises the blade above his head, bringing it down into the survivor.
Wipe Animation: The Samurai uses 2 fingers to quickly wipe the blood off the blade.
Stagger Noise: The Samurai stutters back, making an angry comment in japanese.
Pallet Break Animation: Samurai stabs his blade into the pallet, then smashes it with his other hand.
Wall Break Animation: The Samurai hits the wall with 2 palm strikes, cracking from the first, breaking from the second.
Vaulting Animation: Samurai plots his hand onto the window, hopping through it.
Memento Mori: The survivor stands up, and is impaled through the stomach by The Samurai. Samurai turns the blade and cleaves through their side. To finish it off, Samurai slams his blade into the survivors foot, and begins pummeling the survivors face, and body with palm strikes, until they stop standing.
+Lore:
Haruto was born in a middle class family. The great era of the samurai was continuing forth, with his age, his father instructed that he needed to travel the path of the samurai, to bring income to their family. Haruto insisted that he would be better off with another job, but his father refused to listen. Being a samurai in their age wasn’t uncommon, as most parents had taught their children to become samurai for the great pay. Haruto’s father was a great samurai and was well known for his strength. His father grew angry, and told him it was either become a samurai, or live on the cold and dark streets. Haruto had no choice but to accept the offer, and began his training with his father.
Days pass, the training is nearly ineffective. Haruto did not understand anything his father was saying to him. Haruto persisted he could be useful and bring income, his father was disappointed. “Boy, a month from now, you are going to fight me, with a sword. You have a month to train. Use this time and opportunity i'm giving you, so you can be more like me.”
Haruto was confused, he wanted to know why his father wanted to fight, and he told him nothing more. Haruto continued training, and getting stronger.
More time passes, and Haruto is still not understanding everything. Haruto’s father gets frustrated, and impatient with his son. The training stops. His father picks up his blade, and begins walking towards Haruto. Haruto backs up and hits a wall. His father stabs the blade next to his head. “Damn you! You miserable failure! If you can't learn anything, just get out and leave this family!” Haruto’s father punches Haruto, knocking him over onto the dojo floor. “You’re a mistake. Get out.” Haruto stands up, walking out of the dojo and into his room, packing some important items, before his father comes and throws him out.
Haruto leaves the house, wandering the streets of the village. He has nowhere to go, and it is a cold, and dead winter. Haruto begins to freeze. He slowly treads to a friend's house, not far from his. The cold breeze whispers as he walks. He arrives at the house, freezing.
He is allowed to stay the night, he rests near a fireplace, attempting to defrost is slowly working. Haruto talks with Haoka, they discuss plans and what Haruto is going to do. They talk about Haruto’s samurai training, and how violent his father is. Haruto wants to return home, but without his father being there. The window burst open, a strong gust of wind blew it open. Haoka runs to shut the window. A cold fog rolls into the room, talking to Haruto. Haruto listens in, then gets up and walks out of the room. Haruto thanks Haoka for having him, and Haruto walks home.
The frozen night, taking its toll on Harutos body, freezing and freezing more. Eventually getting more and more frozen. Haruto arrives home, and walks to the door. He had pocketed the house key before he left. He unlocks the front door and sneaks upstairs. He walks into his father’s bedroom. Looking at his fathers blade on a nightstand. He walks over and unsheathes the sword. Walking over to his sleeping father. “Ill show you a mistake, you horrible monster!” Haruto shoves the blade into his fathers neck, killing him quickly. Haruto feels even colder, as he had just murdered someone. He looks at his bloody, freezing hands. The blood had already froze over his hands.
Haruto walks outside, letting the cold air consume him, a cold fog surrounds him as he falls to his knees, ready to succumb to the hypothermia. The fog begins to obscure his vision and he begins to feel warmer, and warmer. He vanished, and was never seen again.
+Design:
A 5’7 man in a traditional black and red karuta, wielding a large sharp katana. His blade is stained with the frozen blood of his father.
+ Primary Power: Kendo Techniques
Power Art: A man holding a katana up to his head, obscuring half of his face.
-The Samurai can take a stance that allows him to dash forward at great speeds and cut and injure survivors.
-It takes 1.6 seconds to enter the stance after pressing RMB (L2 or whatever for console)
-To enter a Kendo Dash, press LMB while in Kendo Stance.
-The Kendo Dash can go through destructible walls, and pallets, both being destroyed after going through them.
-Kendo Dash can also go over short walls, and go through windows.
-When Kendo Dash makes contact with a survivor, The Samurai will appear behind them, and the survivor will be injured if healthy.
-If the survivor is already injured and are hit with Kendo Dash, a short cutscene will play of The Samurai putting his sword back into its sheath. As soon as the sword is sheathed, the survivor screams and is then put into the dying state.
-In order to use Kendo Dash, you must enter the Kendo Stance, which is just standing still in a pose.
-Kendo Dash has a range of 16 meters.
-Kendo Dash has a width of about 6 meters wide.
-After missing a Kendo Dash, it has a cooldown of 15 seconds.
-After hitting a Kendo Dash on a pallet or destructible wall, it has a cooldown of 10 seconds.
-After hitting a Kendo Dash on a survivor, it has a 20 second cooldown.
+Secondary Power: Kendo Agility
-The Samurai has powerful legs that allow him to climb up to great heights and climb structures.
-When below a ledge, press and hold the active ability button for 2 seconds to jump to the top.
-The Samurai cannot climb on everything, just ledges. (an example could be a large rock, or Ormond’s broken outdoor railings)
-Kendo Agility takes 3 seconds to do after casted.
-Kendo Agility has a 20 second cooldown.
+Perks: The Samurai comes with 3 unique perks.
•Scourge Hook: A Samurai’s Techniques:
At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks. They are highlighted in white. The auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.
Each time a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook, the following effects apply:
You gain a 7% haste boost for 10/15/20 seconds.
-Perk Art: A shinobi running with hook’s surrounding him.
•Kendo Knowledge: When breaking a pallet or breakable wall, survivors within 16 meter’s of you will have their auras revealed to you for 3 seconds. Kendo Knowledge has a cooldown of 80/60/45 seconds.
-Perk Art: A shinobi slicing a pallet in two.
•Hex: Path Of Suffering: A hex that punishes survivors. Whenever a survivor completes an action, such as completing a generator, searching a chest, cleansing a totem, or blessing a totem, they are inflicted with the exposed status effect for 30/45/60 seconds.
The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is stands.
-Perk Art: A generator that is surrounded by skulls.
+Prestige Ranks:
Prestige 1: Gore Stained Blade - “This blade is not stained by my fathers alone.. This is from everyone I've slain..” - Haruto
Prestige 2: Gore Stained Karuta - “I cant believe i’ve dirtied my armor, just how long will I be forced to kill and murder all these innocent civilians?!”
Prestige 3: Gore Stained Helmet - “The blood covers even my helmet, how has it come to this? Why can't I just stop this madness..?”
Bonus Weapon: Dual Katanas (unlocked from buying the dlc on steam)
Unique Weapon Mori: The survivor stands up, and is kicked back by The Samurai. The Samurai throws one of his Katana’s through the survivors stomach, causing them to fall to their knees. The Samurai throws the other katana through the survivors head, causing them to fall completely. The samurai quickly dashes over to the corpse and gets his swords back.
Unique Wipe Animation: The Samurai wipes them together, cleaning both swords.
+Addons
(Common) Cut Bamboo - A piece of bamboo, cut during Haruto’s training.
-Decrease Kendo Stance charge time by 0.25 seconds.
(Common) Shattered Flowerpot - A pot that used to hold beautiful flowers.
-Decrease the cooldown of Kendo Dash by 2 seconds.
(Common) Rusty Saya - A katana holder, tainted with rust and age.
-Kendo Dash travels forward until getting close to a wall.
-Kendo Dash cannot injure survivors.
-Grants 100 % Bonus Bloodpoints in the Deviousness Category.
(Common) Spilled Water - A cup of water that was spilled during a training session.
-Increase Kendo Dash range by 2 meters
-Increase Kendo Dash width by 1 meter.
(Uncommon) Snow Covered Cap - A hat that Haruto wore on his way to his friends house.
-Decrease Kendo Agility cooldown by 5 seconds.
(Uncommon) Broken Wood Board - A piece of wood that was badly beaten.
-Survivors that are injured by a Kendo Dash are inflicted with the Hemorrhaging status effect.
(Uncommon) Father’s Geta - A pair of flip flops that father used to wear.
-Decrease Kendo Stance charge time by 0.60 seconds.
(Uncommon) Bloody Bedsheets- Bedsheets that have been ruined by gallons of blood.
-Decrease Kendo Agility cast time by 1 second.
(Uncommon) Broken Gong Mallet- A mallet used to ring a gong, it has been snapped in two.
-Survivors that are injured by a Kendo Dash are inflicted with the Blindness status effect for 30 seconds.
(Rare) Waxy Candle- A candle that was always lit in father’s dojo.
-Survivors that are injured by a Kendo Dash are inflicted with the Hindered status effect for 7 seconds..
(Rare) Bloody Snowpile - A small pile of snow that is covered in blood.
-Increase Kendo Dash range by 5 meters
-Increase Kendo Dash width by 3 meters.
(Rare) Hidden Dagger - A small knife Haruto placed under his pillow incase of emergencies.
-Decrease the cooldown of Kendo Dash by 5 seconds.
(Rare) Sharpened Hilt - A sword hilt that is incredibly sharp.
-Increase Kendo Dash width by 5 meters
(Rare) Light Armor Plates - Armor plates that increase a person's flexibility and speed.
-Decrease Kendo Agility cooldown by 10 seconds.
-Decrease Kendo Agility cast time by 1.5 seconds.
(Very Rare) Tooth Box - A small box that houses a few broken teeth. All broke by one man.
-Decrease Kendo Stance charge time by 1.25 seconds.
(Very Rare) Father’s Instructions - Notes that were hastily written down in blood and ink.
-Removes the need to use Kendo Stance to perform a Kendo Dash.
-Removes the ability to Kendo Dash through pallets, windows, and destructible walls.
-Decreases Kendo Dash distance by 7 meters.
(Very Rare) Father’s Saya - a sword holder owned by father, it has gold dragons all over it.
-Increase Kendo Dash range by 7 meters.
-Increase Kendo Dash width by 4.5 meters.
(Very Rare) Battle Medkit - A small medkit often used by Haruto after father’s beatings.
-Survivors that are injured by a Kendo Dash are inflicted with the Broken status effect for 35 seconds.
(Ultra Rare) Iridescent Water Stone - A glowing stone used to sharpen samurai’s swords.
-Survivors that are injured by a Kendo Dash are instantly put into the dying state.
-Removes the ability to Kendo Dash through pallets, windows, and destructible walls.
(Ultra Rare) Devil Mask - A mask that father used while in combat as a samurai.
-When putting a survivor into the dying state with a Kendo Dash, all survivors within your terror radius scream, and are exposed for 15 seconds.

+New Map:
-Kitagawa Village — Frozen Graveyard: A medium to large map that is mostly open, and has a few standing village houses, the rest are crumbled and destroyed. Generators can be found in some houses. All houses have 1 floor, and are guaranteed to have at least 2 open windows, and 1 pallet. The village is in a snowstorm, and snow falls all around the map, and some snow piles up at places around the map. A graveyard full of gravestones is the centerpiece of the map, and contains no windows, but many pallets.
-Hook Design: The hook is silver and sharp, the base of the hook has snow covering it, and the hook is made of wood. Snow also covers the top of the hook.
-Killer Shack Design: A dark oak shack, located in the corner of the map. It has snow surrounding it and the walls have holes and cracks in them. There is a breakable wall located next to the shack window, and snow fills the hole in the middle of the shack.

A young woman looking for trouble. She wears a red and white striped shirt, she sports jeans and black running shoes. She has long blonde hair.
+Lore:
Jackie Silvia is a young girl who loves to prank strangers and her friends. She attends high school looking forward to getting into some kind of argument or trouble. She is often skipping her detentions and punishments. One day she is approached by a few of her friends, and they say they wanted to investigate a forest that was recently the scene of a murder. Seeing an opportunity to prank her friends, she takes up the offer and walks home to prepare.
Her friends were coming by car in a few hours, they were gonna explore in the dark, so that it is much creepier. Jackie packed her bags full of fake blood, and a toy knife. The sun was soon to set, so she continued with preparations. Eventually finishing up and getting her bags ready to go. Her friends had pulled up to her house, and she got in and left for the forest.
On the drive there, they all were discussing their plans for the forest. Find the murder site, take some pictures, fool around and go home. Jackie planned on extending the plan, by doing a few pranks to scare everyone. Her friend spotted something in the forest, it was a shadow figure, standing still staring at them. Jackie took out her flashlight and pointed it at the entity, making it disappear into the darkness.
Everyone was unnerved. Everyone insisted that they should go home, but Jackie refused. Everyone decided to keep going. They pulled over at a spot nearby the crime scene. Jackie was told to go first, which went against her plan of pranking everyone, as she couldn't disappear from view. They eventually found the body site, and saw chalk outlines and everything. They all turn around to take pictures when suddenly a scream came from the forest.
Jackie knew something was going on, and when she looked around, everyone was gone. She had been abandoned by her friends. She screamed their names, but to no response. Jackie fell to her knees, unable to comprehend that all her friends left her to die in this forest. She had a breakdown, laying in the dirt, waiting for someone to come to save her. She heard a crunch, a twig had snapped in front of her. She looked, and she saw a tall man, wielding a machete, with a black paintball mask. She got up and began to run for her life.
Jackie knew she had to get out of the forest. She ran in the direction she thought was the way to the car, but she had been wrong. She only ended up further into the forest. Looking around she saw the shadow figure, slowly closing in on her. She tripped over a tree root, collapsing to the ground. She crawled away, being grabbed by the foot, and dragged back by the masked maniac. He raised his machete above his head, and brought it down with great force. Jackie held her hands to block her face, waiting for her inevitable death. After 5 seconds, she opened her eyes. She was in the middle of nowhere. In another forest, she saw a faint glow in the distance and walked towards it, it was a campfire.
+Perks: Jackie comes with 3 unique perks.
•Terrible Tinkerer: Your knack for performing sneaky pranks always powers your will.
You gain the ability to loosen hooks, loosened hooks increase survivors chances to attempt escape by 5%. It takes 12 seconds to loosen a hook, and hooks are unloosened if they are sabotaged. Terrible Tinkerer has a cooldown of 120/80/60 seconds.

Locker Trap: After repairing Generators for 60/45/30 seconds, Locker Trap activates. Entering a locker allows you to place a trap inside of the locker, that triggers anytime a killer opens the trapped locker. Anytime a killer opens a trapped locker, they are stunned for 3 seconds. The locker must be empty for the trap to activate.

•Boon: Supreme Strength: A Boon that empowers those who need the strength.
Press and hold the Active ability button near a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem.

Survivors inside the Boon Totem's range benefit from the following effects:
Increase wiggle speed of all survivors within the boon’s range by 30/40/50 percent.
Increases wiggle strength to make the Killer to strafe sideways by 50%
You can only bless one Totem at a time.
All equipped Boon Perks are active on the same Boon Totem.

Concept for ‘The Samurai’ Cosmetics:
Commons are just recolors of base armor.
Uncommons are recolors of base armor, but with more colors.
Rares are more unique, and are a bit different than base armor, likely donning a different looking armor set.
Very rares can look very unique, either being very colorful and flashy, or being a few colors with badass looking armor.
Concept ‘Jackie Silvia.’ Cosmetics:
Commons are recolors of base outfit.
Uncommons are recolors of base outfit, but with different colored hairs.
Rares are unique, and give Jackie different shirts and pants and changing her hair, maybe giving her a hat too.
Very rares can look very colorful and pretty, something like a school outfit or something more interesting. Like a dark roguish outfit.
+Cosmetic References
This would be the look for the base cosmetic, change the blue into black, and keep the gold faceplate and arches on the head.
