Concept: The Queen Of Nightmares (Giant Spider Killer)
Name: Unknown
Game Aliases: The Spider, The Queen of Nightmares, The Brood Mother
Gender: Female
Appearance: An enormous black spider with vividly glowing orange eyes.
Movement Speed: 4.4 m/s
Terror Radius: 24m
Height: Medium
Difficulty: Medium
Load-out: Perks
Brood Infusion: On hooking a survivor, they become the Obsession and you inject them with a parasitic egg. For the next 100/120/180 seconds, the aura of all survivors, pallets, vaults and boons within 8/10/12 meters of the injected survivor become visible to you. The aura of the infected survivor is not revealed. Damaging the infected survivor will immediately remove the infusion. Only one infusion may be active at any time. Infusing a survivor will grant a 20% bonus to BP at the end of the game, to a maximum of 60/80/100%. This effect does not stack with BBQ and Chili.
Lurking Horror: When you put a survivor into the Dying state, you gain a charge of Lurking Horror. Kicking a generator places a concealed egg-sac on the generator, consuming a Lurking Horror charge. When a survivor begins repairing the generator, the egg-sac explodes, releasing hundreds of tiny spiders onto the survivor. This causes the survivor to scream, revealing their location and inflicting the Oblivious status for 10/15/20 seconds and the generator suffers 4/6/8% regression.
Arachnid Response: Any survivor in a chase with you and for 5/10/15 seconds after leaving your terror radius is filled with a deep, instinctive fear, prompting them to make bad decisions. After dropping a pallet or vaulting, all pallets and vaults will be blocked for that survivor for 5/7/10 seconds and the aura of all survivors within your terror radius are revealed to you for 3 seconds. This incurs a 80/70/60 second cooldown.
Power: The Brood Mother
The Queen of Nightmares does whatever a spider queen can.
Spin Web
The Queen creates a large nest of webbing. While within her web, she gains the Undetectable status and becomes invisible to survivors that are further than 12m away.
The webs themselves are invisible until a survivor is within 12m of the web. Once a web has been discovered, it becomes permanently visible to all survivors.
Pounce
She may also leap from the web (similar to the Demogorgon's Shred) - leaping forward and striking extremely swiftly. After a pounce, the Queen is slowed and cannot attack for 5 seconds.
Any survivors within 8m of a web will have their auras revealed and touching the web directly/attempting to damage it applies the Hindered status effect for 3 seconds.
The Queen may have up to 2 webs active at any time and gains the ability to spin an additional web whenever she hooks a survivor for the first time. Spinning a web takes 4 seconds and incurs a 60 second cooldown.
Survivors may attempt to damage a web. This takes 20 seconds, but this can be done 15% faster for each survivor assisting. Damaged webs must be re-spun by the Queen. This takes 4 seconds.
Once spun, a web is permanent and cannot be relocated. Webs cannot be spun too close to exit gates, hooks or generators.
Yellow auras of webs/nests are visible to the Queen at all times.
Wall Walk
The Queen is capable of walking on walls and ceilings. She may attach or detach at any time. Detaching takes 1 second. The Queen may not carry survivors while wall walking.
Necrotizing Venom
Upon striking a survivor, the queen injects her venom. Survivors infected in this manner are presented with a skill check at 30, 60 and 90 seconds after injection. Failing the skill check will cause the survivor to scream and reveal their location. A healthy survivor failing a skill check is also placed into the Injured state. Injecting venom prevents another dose of venom from being injected for 120 seconds. Stunning or blinding the Queen will also incur this cooldown.
Spawn Brood
Once a web has existed for 60 seconds, it becomes a Nest. Nests behave identically to webs.
A downed survivor may be brought to a nest instead of a hook and encased in webbing until freed. This behaves exactly like hooking a survivor with one difference: doing so will cause all nests to begin spawning spiderlings at a rate of 1 spiderling every 15 seconds. These will move at a rate of 2.4 m/s towards the closest survivor(s) but will automatically die after 30 seconds.
If a spiderling reaches a survivor, it will shriek, leap and attach to the survivor until they perform the Crush action (3 seconds). A survivor with a spiderling attached will trigger Killer Instinct and if the spiderling remains attached for 10 seconds, will also lose 1 health state.
Attached spiderlings will not automatically die and must be crushed.
Nests must be damaged to prevent spiderlings from spawning. When damaged, a nest reverts to a web and must be respun and given time to mature again.
