My blight issue
Dear all,
I have started with dbd a month ago, managed to get with other killers to red 1, but now i have an urge to learn a blight due to his complexity.
I have watched many tutorials on yt (especially liliths), but I am struggling a bit with slides and hug tech.
My issue is that whenever i start to slide, i always get slammed…
I try to look down and start sliding under a bit of an angle, but then i either get slammed into the wall or I start to drift away.
Same thing happens with a car/van or in loops.
I unfortunately cannot practice in private lobbies since non of my friend is playing dbd; So public is my testing ground.
I also do not over abuse the power as it can be predictable, but in loops i feel more or less as ordinary m1 killer.
Im playing it on ps5 with 100% sensitivity, also there is a liliths review of console blight, so “pc flicks” are possible here aswell.
Kind Regards

Why do you feel the need to exploit with blight? He's a top tier killer at base even without the j flicks and hug techs and 100000 DPI and other exploits. Just practice as he was intended to play and I'm sure you will still win a lot, and be having a lot more.fun. :)

He's playing on console so some of the DPI "exploits" you mention I assume are not even possible
Edit: although maybe not just re-read and he said PC flicks are possible, guess I know nothing

Blight is one of those killers you need several hundred hours to get actually really good at.
Keep practicing in matches while learning collision of all objects on all maps.
If you really need you can just practice his power during normal matches, you have few minutes until gens are done

Im not sure you can discuss game exploits and how to use them for your own advantage

There's a reason why people make fun of console blights, its frustratingly hard. Yes, I've plugged in a controller on my pc to test it out and it was awful. Not saying this to discourage you, but its understandable that you'd have issues with blight in console.

They apperantly improved controller blight. So I think its my knowledge worse then actual controller blight.
I dont know why is now “exploit” blight the main topic here. For me biggest exploit, or should we say, the best perk in game is SWF with voip.
Last match I have been bullied by all those tactical setups of flashlights and with the exploit, whete all of them stacked like a flock below hook so I had 0% chance to actually perfork a hook. U slap one, but 3?? And when tiny Feng bodyblocks doors so you cant chase? I think that in those 100 hours I have, seen more survivor exploits which seems more harsh then one blight slide :)
saloon dawg where hanging platform is. Someone used deadhard on top of the cart, healed up and then started to Tbag me :)
Yes im trying to practice in those few minutes I have a chance off, as I said, I always slide few meters and then somehow slam. while gameplay of others seems as they staring right into the wall

If other players are gonna exploit with him, and we know how to do it, we're gonna do it too.
1 -
Even if it takes using third party software to do it?
1 -
You don't need third party software when the games optimization is so ######### that even an over the top computer cant run it on high settings without hiccupping
1 -
Doesn't change the fact that people are basically cheating using third party software though does it
No other killer really has stuff like this, it's ridiculous that people try to defend it
2 -
You don't need any 3rd party software to do flicks, hug tech, or scoot and slides (which have specifically been called out by McClean before he left the company as intended). The only thing that REQUIRES a 3rd party program to perform on blight is lag flicks.

Yeah that's what I'm referring to but I was being vague because a thread talking about it earlier today was deleted by moderators and I was hoping to not get this thread deleted as well.

That's going too far. And it's not possible for us console players.

Fair enough!
I was curious if you were including a certain exploit some people are abusing but it would appear not. I apologise for making assumptions.

Its hard to try and wrap around difficult mechanics on a killer you are newer too, start by getting a good grasp / understanding of his basic power before moving on to more complicated things like "hug techs" and slides since its hard to go in and preform them without a decent understanding of blight so you actually know when to use them

Hi, pc blight main here. The key here is to look down before you rush while performing a hug tech. It’ll help you perform it correctly, which will be useful on maps like rpd and such. I’m sure you’ll get better overtime ! Be sure to record your improvements ! Also, try your best to hug tech even if it means you’re throwing. Getting good is more important than winning. Don’t stop grinding until you’re happy with yourself. One last thing, you can do pretty much everything a pc blight can do, it’ll just be slower because “controller moment” but yk how it is. Good luck <3

bump, i was asking for an advice not a debate than the thread will get modded

Hello :)
Okay, I need to clarify things as
When I look down, like all the way camera allows, i still sometimes do slam.
Using hug tech, if im too close to the wall, the rush option dissapears, so i assume it is all in the timing?
How do I achieve to actually slide and look at “normal” direction
Also I find large boulder/hill top as something that should be great starter point, but yet I either end up slamming into boulder or I drift away from the hug.
I know that I practice, so I dont mind winning or loosing, yet I do win quite majority of the games.
Also I play pure vanilla without addons, so I also am quite rewarded with BP
Some matches people figure out what Im doing, so I dont hang them, they revive and I guess they can practice their parkour aswell 😂

I have played a lot of nurse aswell. Even prestieged her lol
Only killers I have skipped is ghost face and legion.
I dont struggle with blight on lets say “proper way” by playing pinball and hitting them. I am only struggling around loops where I could get a hit due to slide.
So basically, I am trying to get advanced gameplay

This is going to sound like something you don't expect but just practice.
You can't just pick up a killer and do high skill stuff right away, keep on practicing and soon you will get it.
Ignore people that say that hug tech is an exploit as it isn't, you are just using the poor collision to your benefit that is why it is called a tech.

Thank you all. Maybe one thing that bothers me (yes, i know that its more complex and dependant).
But once you start to slide, do you rotate camera to steer, or once after hug tech is performed, you just sit back and relax.
As I try to look more into the wall, to kinda keep tight direction and not to drift away, therefore I think I have most issues with conquering the technique.
ps: I know that practice makes it perfect. But here I am trying to solve all mysteries and trying to learn it with the right approach. Im not expecting to be in godmode after 20 hours of blight

Because they all cheat. I am a killer main and even i snooze when its a blight while i do my daily or challenges. It's the same with Oni players. they all 180 cheat unless they are on console.

Hug Techs aren't even exploits. They're easily done on console

Today Ive met sweaty swf where in the end game they again started all to bodyblock doors and hook.
As long as this is legit, please do not rabble how blight is being abused
