Trial Rework Idea

Hey, want to get feedback so please leave a comment on what do you think of this.

THE START OF THE TRIAL

The generator repair speed is halfed (takes twice as long). After touching a gen you can see the aura of the farthest toolbox from your location (aura is seen for 5 seconds after leaving a generator).

Toolboxes are no longer a Survivor item, but instead a Trial item (behaves like a Vaccine or Lament Configuration) and cannot be brought into the trial. 7 toolboxes spawn in the Realm (for each generator) and their quality is the following: 1 Very Rare (Purple), 2 Rare (Green), 2 Uncommon (Yellow) and 2 Common (Brown). Each of these will have their own texture. These Toolboxes are held by a survivor in their left hand, so they can still have they're brought item on them. The only Toolboxes that a Survivor can bring the Sabotage ones.

After picking up a Toolbox you can install it on a generator which takes 5 seconds. And depending on a rarity of a Toolbox will change the Full Repair* capacity.

Full repair

When repairing a generator repair progress bar will start turning a light blue (or green) color at 25% repair speed. The generator cannot regress past this threshold. Full Repair values:

  • Very Rare - 15%
  • Rare - 10%
  • Uncommon - 5%
  • Common - 0%

This will add a strategic element to where you should apply more rare Toolbox (Original idea was created by Otzdarva, I just slightly refined it and added here)

In addition generator has to be fixed form all sides. But don't worry it won't reduce the number of survivors that can work on 1 gen or will require you to move manually. This how it will look:

After finishing a side of the generator survivor will play a finishing animation (closing a wire box or looking up at a glowing green light) and move on to a neighboring side of it. If another survivor is already working on that side, your survivor will ask them to move and they both will be fixing the same side.

END GAME

Exit Gate switches now take 10 seconds to open but will regress at 400% speed, if you let go of them. Making survivors to choose whether to start EGC or try your luck later.

Waiting for feedback, because this is my first attempt at such a big idea.
