The best thing about MMR for killers
Since killer ques are (typically) instant or nearly instant, we get to pick and choose what teams of survivors we want to play against, again.
See a group of 4 using toolboxes and don't wanna deal with it? Exit lobby, reque, and have a new set of 4 in seconds.
Get a very obvious 4 stack swf? (As in, all the same character, similar names, etc etc) and don't like that? Mmmmm next. 5 second wait and you're good to go with a new group.
I think that's enough examples. You get it.
Alsoooooo.. the fact that with less killers, it becomes harder for the MMR system to CORRECTLY match people up in their proper mmr range, so as survivor ques get longer they have a wider range to be put into. And maybe in wrong but I feel like that could be a very viable explanation as to why your games as killer can feel so varied in terms of survivor skill levels. So basically MMR is creating the exact situation it was meant to prevent. Kinda silly imo.

I like the randomness of the killer grade. I have seen plenty of killers leave the lobby cause they don't want to lose to my (brown empty) toolbox. And yes, I play with my friends that I meet as killer and since I am such a lousy killer, I get friends that hide in the corner and stay in lockers etc. But friends met in solo play are usually the same skill level so it is not that much different than solo. Shame on all survivors using headset communications. that is not fair to the killer at all.

That’s one of many flaws about SBMM is because good killers will dodge what may “seem” like good survivors leaving a newer killer to queue up against that Swf you dodged, that Swf will 4 man escape that killer and that killer will hop on the forums and complain about everylittle thing that those survivors did to 4 man out against him/her..

Oh now the killer queues are instant again when I quit my queues were like 5 to 10 minutes when mmr just came out

best thing about MMR to me is that i get to play other games now that i enjoy a lot more than DbD atm.
and every time nostaliga hits and i miss this game, all i have to do is remeber that SBMM is a thing now and i instantly dont want to play anymore :D

You usually get one good game a session. My DBD play lately has been log in play one game log out and do something else.
I'll flick through the lobbies till I get folks I like the look of (completely arbitrary of course) have 1 game usually its a good game and then log off because you probably won't top that one good game for the evening.

It's funny how in prime time the survivor teams spend twice as long in queue as they do in game lol

Here's my lobby policy.
Obvious 3-4man SWF? No problem if they are on console.
If they are on PC? Check profiles. If it's a bunch of sub 1000 hour people, I'll give it a shot if I'm on a killer I'm decent with but I'll throw on the strongest addons and perks I have available.
If they are all private? Maybe dodge.
If I'm playing a weaker killer? Maybe dodge.
Legacy skins? Probably hackers. Definitely dodge.
A lot of the time, I'll discover too late that it's just a bunch of mates jamming together, not a coordinated stompcomp.
That said, there is the odd time that it's a group of jerks that send me to Haddonfield and abuse the hell out of the infinite. In these cases...well, I'll be watching Bob's Burgers. You chaps have fun.

my killer queu times take an eternity, i try to spread my playtime across them so that might be why.

That's so odd. You must have a very high or very low MMR, because I reckon mine is slap-bang in the middle and even at the weirdest hours, my queue times never exceed 90 seconds or so.
