Hex totems spawn location
What's the point of ######### hex totems if the ######### game spawns them right next to the survivors and next to generators. I got my ruin removed in less than 10 seconds into the game because the ######### game decided to spawn survivors right next to my totem.

it's like the whole point of the perks are to be incredibly powerful but removeable from the game...

I've seen a severe drop in quality of totem placement since boons arrived. For a time they were starting to get better but now we are back to having them out in the open because all the good places are to small for killers

High risk high reward doesn’t mean you should be able to load into a match and immediately be able to see or hear a lit totem and remove it before the killer can even get there just because you spawned that close to it. That’s not high risk high reward, that’s just bad luck no reward.
I had a survivor match last week where I loaded in on the back side of a TL wall and immediately knew there was a lit totem on the other side before I even went around the wall.
You can fix totem spawns to prevent this from happening and they’d still be high risk high reward.

They've been playing around with their spawns since they were introduced. Used to be in much much more obvious spawns if you can believe it.

They need to rework the spawn, both Killer/Survivor spawn & totem spawn.
1 killer has to find 4 survivors (these 5 spawns should not close). While 4 survivors find 7 Gens & 5 totems (these 16 spawns should not close, but they are). Which is always guarantee survivors side will start their objective immediately.

I firmly believe Ruin or any other hex by themselves is a low tier perk, maybe average tier with Undying.
I was trying to use the buffed Blood Favor on my favorite killer (Huntress) and 9/10 matches the perk gets cleansed before I got any value out of it, sometimes I'd get value from it once before it was destroyed.
Now that boons are a thing and survivors look out more for totems, it's about time they buff the Hex system. Imo Hex totems should remain disguised as dull totems for at least 2 minutes, and for the love of god improve totem spawns.

I mean its not essential but it helps with the fact that you will almost always loose them in the first 5-10 min if its not Noed as that only activates at the end. Ideally its better to never use hex perks as your rank goes up as it just tends to help you loose the match against survivors that know the hex layouts of the map and can now replace your hex with a boon

I don't mind losing the hex 5 min into the game that is enough time to put pressure but what is like annoying is the fact that I lose the hex in the first 10-15 seconds into the game.

Let me guess, totem got broken quickly, you got mad, and you had to post this.
Some matches will have your totem well hidden some will not. Don't expect every match to be on your favor

The point is, and always has been, that totem spawns are far too RNG. There are some that are just lol easy to find (hello corn map totems), and then some that are just way too impossible to find (hello Lerys inside the cart in an obscure corner)
A totem spawning next to a survivor, or next to a major objective is not "not in the killers favor" its just bad game design. Its not high risk high reward. That would imply you have a choice. You do not. It's roll the dice and see what your reward is.

Yes because that's more time my hex would get value and more time survivors have to spend finding them. At this point most killers only snuff them if they are right next to them after a hook or down.
