Still no boon changes.
Or SBMM changes for that matter.
I guess I will check back again next midchapter :D I remain hopeful.

Imagine nerfing Pinhead, who has terrible anti-loop but good 4v1 but not nerfing what is (imo) the most powerful Survivor perk right now.
Imagine.

They probably will change it I'm the mid chapter patch.
1 -
I didn't think boons would get changed because it hasn't been a whole chapter since they came out.

Ash Williams came out and they nerfed his perk in a month
6 -
ohh, I saw someone say they don't make changes until it's been an entire chapter.
0 -
I would expect so. According to the steam stats, it has been going downhill since SBMM and boons and all of the unneccesary killer nerfs.
I personally have barely touched the game since then. and I know I'm not just speaking for myself.

you're definitely not the only one.

Who ever said that was a liar

Boons will probably be looked at next midchapter. They usually look at dlc the midchapter after the following chapter.
It's honestly surprising Pinhead was tweaked this patch
1 -
yeah that's what I thought.

Just think about it.
Now you'll have 1 boon in the RPD library that covers half the map and cannot be realistically cleansed giving the entire team Shadowstep, CoH and a free Sprint Burst.
This...is going to suck.

"Re-enabled location restriction when snuffing Boon totems" does it means?
This looks like a change but I don't get it.

Basically, you'll have to be right on top of it to snuff it now, which will probably add a second or two to snuffing time.
It also probably means that the second people figure out where the new 'unsnuffable' spots are, it's going to be GG.

Because of the unsnuffable totems bug, they disabled location restriction when snuffing- which means that if you're in range, you can snuff the totem, even if it makes you clip through scenery. Now that they've fixed those unsnuffable locations, you have to stand actually in front of them now.
It's not really a change, it's just everything working properly.

I had to look this up myself.
It seems, previously, they had to disable a "restriction" on Killers when it came to snuffing totems and collision. Some totems were positioned in such a way that this collision caused it so that they could not be snuffed. They disabled it so they could reposition the totems and collision. This caused it so some totems were easier to snuff (they basically said "enjoy it while it lasts killers!" when they disabled it.)
With it re-enabled we have to assume they moved the un-snuffable totems so they can be snuffed now with the collision. This may cause some issues with snuffing some totems, compared to what Killers were used to with it disabled, as some may have been getting snuffed in the wrong position due to ignoring collision, so now you'll have to position better.

Have they fixed the unsnuffable boons?
0 -
Presumably. I'm pretty sure they were fixed when their associated map offerings were re-enabled, right?
0 -
I thought the maps were re-enabled because they turned off collision.

Boon Totems were never a good idea idea to begin with, especially COH.
BHVR 2018: "We will increase the amount of charges required to complete a heal action, consequentially and undeservedly removing Self-Care from the meta, because killers need more time to patrol generators".
BHVR 2021: Ha" COH go heallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll"
Why?
0 -
I see no reason to assume they haven't been fixed, so I'm sure it's fine.
0 -
Well of course there were no changes. The dev's said it themselves that Boons are not game changing and must be severely confuzzled as to why they are so meta.

FYI their normal schedule is they release a new character and then do a balance pass on them about three months later. So we'll probably be seeing the Mikaela pass (including her Boon perks) in the January update.
