Uses for Excess Rift Fragments
Thoughts on how useless rift fragments are for those that finish their rift already? I feel like there should be some kind of additional use for rift fragments that are acquired in excess to ones required to reach tier 70 in the rift. Yes this is technically in response to seeing the month of rewards for the holiday season, however overall this is the second time that I'm finding myself in a situation where I've finished the rift and just keep completing pages in the tome that give additional rift fragments. What if instead of those extra fragments being lost to the void post tier 70, they had an additional use?
Some of those uses could include:
- Additional bloodpoints (10,000 BP per additional rift fragment)
- Iridescent shards (50 shards per additional rift fragment)
- Auric cells (10 AC per additional rift fragment)
Now this is clearly only a suggestion, however I do feel like implementing a change like this would further incentivize players to continue trying to grind out the tomes for the current rift as well as grinding out the game further. Maybe they need to unlock that perk they've been really itching to try in a new build but just don't have the BP to get it unlocked (yes this would more or less make the bloodweb grind slightly less grueling, not significantly, but slightly). Maybe there's a killer or survivor they want to unlock or a cosmetic that's been catching their eye and they just don't have the money or time to grind for hours and hours to get them (this would significantly reduce the time required to grind for Iri shards and would also allow players to unlock licensed killers/survivors without having to spend any money).
It's time to give players further incentive to grind instead of continuing with the same unremarkable and rather stale system is it not?

Right? Even if they didn't do AC, everyone would love an additional way to get bp and shards. Literally no player would be unhappy with a change like that.
