DS is overrated garbage perk

I'm exaggerating but it is truly such a useless perk on High mmr otherwise the perk is fine for anyone not skilled and it's probably your best bet at staying alive. I could play 10 matches and most likely get two matches where I wish I had DS. Most killers respect this perk a lot and just flat out slug you on the ground instead s. Been playing without this perk for weeks now and it really diversified my builds lately and made the game more fun.

Nice try killer main! Your reverse psychology isn’t going to work on me and prevent me from equipping DS and stabbing you in the neck when you try to tunnel me! No Sirree!

Killers eat my DS a lot, idk how high or low my MMR is. It's still a strong perk especially at endgame.

That's the thing, the less you use your DS the better it's working. Killers are very afraid of commuting to a chase only to have all of their effort destroyed and get stunned for 5 seconds, understandably. The more afraid they are the less likely they are to tunnel, and the less likely they tunnel the longer you can stay in the game.

DS works best when nobody in the trial is running it because, just like BT, the killer has to play around the perk no matter what or risk that 5 second stun.

My personal experience as a solo player with / without DS disagrees.

I always feel a bit for the poor high mmr survivors that I slug for a full minute, who don't have DS, but I ate a few too many to no slug you, when I catch you after a sloppy unhook.

You also have to show that you're a competent survivor and can handle yourself in chases. Like you said they can't risk getting stunned and reset the chase again being a frightening looper is the greatest deterrent you can have in this game.

I think slugging is fair game actually. Go for it should teach the randoms I get that BT isn't immortality and the surprise people get when the Killer respected 12 seconds is pretty funny.

I don't play this game to get tunneled out. Most of the tunnelers picking up instantly.

DS is a must top tier perk.

I don't run DS, because I don't believe it should be my responsibility to make the game bearable. Its BHVR's job to create an enjoyable gaming experience, so every time I'm put up against a face-camping, hook-farming, #########-eating-grin gamer I loathe BHVR with every fiber of my being for their "I wash my hands of this" approach to tunneling and camping.

I do not believe there is a single person out there who can honestly say they enjoy being farmed and immediately thrown back on the hook. You're not playing a game at that point--you're just a spectator to a massive design flaw and a passenger on a one way trip to finding better use of your time.

DS is a garbage perk. And we deserve a better solution.

I see survivors get second chances at life with DS every day.

DS doesn't have to activate to be powerful. It's mere existence is what stops tunneling, unless the Killer is desperate and hopeful you don't have it, or has the time to eat a DS without risking losing a lot of pressure
