What do you think about the chase mechanic as a 4.4m/s killer?

Imagine taking a whole minute or more just to catch up and get some bloodlust to lessen the distance on certain maps lmao.

Most 4.4m/s killers have some mechanic for ending chases that isn't just looping, is the thing. Huntress and Trickster can injure at range (one more easily than the other), Hag wants to run survivors into her territory when she can just Nothing Personnel, Kid teleport to them, and so on and so forth.

That's why killers are made 4.4, because their power helps them in chases without getting to melee range the normal way.

Ehhh, Haddonfield is a problem map, it's not really super accurate to bring that up to make out like 4.4 killers are unfairly punished by the base game chase mechanic. It's bad for 4.6 killers too, after all.

With slow killers chasing is often not the best idea.

Does seem to cause a problem with e.g. Midwich's corridors, where it will take literally forever for Trickster/Huntress to catch up close enough that their first hit doesn't send the survivor yeeting off to who knows where due to the speed boost.

Something a bit counterintuitive about ranged killers possibly having even more of a pain with long, straight corridors than 115 killers.

    Deathslinger is 4.4 speed and has an 18m attack with a 32m terror radius 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
