Could exposed perks become meta?

Been having a lot of fun and some decent success between Haunted Grounds on Pyramid Head and Devour Hope on Nemesis.

I feel like these perks might have a place in the meta nowadays honestly? Being able to skip the second part of the chase, prevent Dead Hard from having a real influence, can't heal from COH or escape chase from Shadow Step because insta down, especially if the exposed perk triggers soon after a hook? You can get a TON of pressure in a short amount of time and turn games around.

Problem is that usually you need to pair some synergistic perk with them to give them a little extra kick. I run Ruin to bait Survivors into triggering HG and Undying to give Devour some extra life. Perks like NOED would need another late game perk like No Way Out and/or Blood Warden to get as much use as possible, assuming it doesn't get blown up immediately or Survivors don't do all bones. Dragon's Grip could be useful with Pop maybe? Not sure how to make Iron Maiden or Make Your Choice better...but human creativity typically pulls through.

Just curious if y'all have been trying with exposed perks at all. I haven't regretted putting them on my builds for a second.

Devour Hope was always good, you can use it like 4th perk where it sometimes win you a game. I really like it on killers that can hide it till mori like Trickster. But it is still hex, so it's just useless in most games, because all survivors are looking for totems in boon meta.

Demogorgon with Lifeguard Whistle addon is really good with Devour Hope.

I’ve been meaning to try starstruck on clown but I don’t own trickster so guess I’ll have to wait for the shrine :(

not Hex exposes thats for sure. Haunted grounds really only works if it gets cleansed with a survivor trying to cleanse ruin. Sometimes you get potato survivors that just cleanse something lit cause its lit.

Make Your Choice SHOULD be a meta perk if it was designed at all well but it isn't so shrug

Dragons Grip could def see some usage. Trail of Torment and Dragon Grip together is actually pretty meme.

The problem is that most of the expose perks in this game rely on the killer having some form of mobility to actually capitalize on it. Which most killers dont.

If you use m1/m2 based on your attack (Blight, Demo etc) they will know, but it doesn't show up if you use projectile like Trickster, Pyramid Head etc.

So you can use it and then just start with mori as surprise.

With boons being meta I’d say NOED is better than Devour since survivors rarely cleanse totems these days and there’s way more people hunting for totems to boon.

Although Devour is a lot more fun/fair and if you don’t make it to the end game it’s just a wasted perk.

Starstruck can be good but most of the time it’s just a way to disincentive survivors from body blocking or trying flashlight saves since they know they’re exposed when they enter your terror radius unlike NOED when it only shows up once you down someone.

I don't think Exposed Perks will be meta as long as they are this situational. They require a lot of work put into them to activate and get a down with them

Starstruck, Agitation, Infectious Fright is a nasty combo. Specially on nurse. I would say this is kind of meta already.

It doesn't display until a healthy survivor is downed in one hit. If you have some injured people you can max it out without them knowing.

Yeah I've been running devour hope and haunted grounds too. Seems like people stop doing hex if HG pops first probably expecting undying and you snowball from there. I don't think it's meta though but it's good

I think my first ever build on PH was Corrupt, BBQ, Haunted Grounds and Infectious Fright. Got me quite a few downs, but that was pretty early when I didn't use his power to much.

It 100% does show up on pyramid head’s ranged attack. Afaik, the only exception is plague for some reason and getting hit by a zombie (and I’m not sure if plague still is). Pretty sure getting injured by a bear trap also won’t show it. But in general, it’s revealed by special attacks.

NOED only shows up on M1 though.

The problem is that exposed perks are very situational in general. The only consistent one I'd say is NOED. Haunted is 2nd place but you need a build around it with Undying and Devour, and even then in the boon meta running hexes is incredible risky.

Starstruck and MYC are good on like 2 killers respectively. Dragon's Grip, Iron Maiden and Rancor are trash.
