So can we remove the snowmen early? Or like, fix them to not tank hits?

This would be so funny. Maybe this way survivors learn to understand how it is for killers that have to hit 3-5 times to down someone...

Its just so unfair, so many survivors abuse these ''snowmans''.

Not really, being super slow and being able to creep up to teammates or the killer is more hilarious than being normal and just a gigantic "i'm here" sign.

As for shields, well, the animations are very slow, if a survivor can safely jump into a snowman without taking damage, they could have reached the nearest pallet or window and used it safely too. They only lose distance by jumping into a snowman offensively.

As for bodyblocking with an extra shield, you'd have to plan that out extremely early for it to work. You'd have to either be extremely lucky and have a snowman nearby, or pre-plan the manouvre at least 20 seconds in advance, which could have been a totem gone or 1/4th of a gen finished.

You can be super slow without needing mechanics to force you into it, no?

Honestly, if it were done in a similarly light-hearted style it wouldn't bother me playing survivor.

After 5 years of the same single game mode, I'm happy for anything that changes things up in an interesting, limited-time way.

Threads like this are why we usually get disappointing, forgettable events.

You are moving at slugged levels of movementspeed. You cant really be that slow unless you're on console.

Besides, there would be plenty of issues with having a gigantic snowman too. You wouldnt be able to tell where the survivor hitbox is untill extensive research, you wouldnt know if a survivor is inside and just standing still or not untill you walk at them. And if you want to fix that by giving the survivor the hitbox that is the size of the snowman, lots more issues are created that way. You'd be at a net-negative just for a cosmetic, no reason to ever use it, at which point, why even make events?

    A) Thank you for reasonably conversing with me even though we have differing opinions on the matter.

    B) It's entirely possible there are killer players who are figuring out ways around the shenaynays. I just know for me, in my experience, I have seen people now intentionally using the snowmen to absorb hits. Like, the actual game that led me to making this second thread on the snowmen was infuriating. 3 flashlights and a medkit, 4 DS's, 4 Borrowed Time, and the other two perks per survivor were still meta, just not all the same. They would run me like you'd expect competent survivors to run a Nurse, but would aim for the snowmen and 360 around them. So I was forced into a situation where if I blink too far, I hit the snowman because I can't swing and avoid it. Or if I blinked too short, I'd still have to walk through the snowmen they were clearly using as a body guard.

To be fair, in that specific game I got the rapid CD blink bug at least twice, both near the docks (I was on the Swamp) as well as just barely not blinking far enough by a hair and losing blinks to the hill and other terrain. Some of which was next to a snowman, that of course, they just used as a means to absorb hits. I really wish I was recording, and I'm now firing up my software so I can hopefully catch some of the shenaynays.

Make it so you can't give protection hits with them and imo they're fine.

Basically - Are you alone - Yes? As is now

Did you somehow tank a hit for a teammate? Take damage.

I don't think the difference between "hilarious" and "not hilarious" is if you are moving at walking speed vs. slower than that.

I think the solution then would be to shrink the snowmen a bit to make them a little more form fitting. Or maybe that's not even necessary. I don't think the misleading hitbox issues are as problematic as the free pseudo-protection it.

Did you know that plenty of (high ranking, too!) players use a controller on PC? (coughcoughCopecoughcough *coughcoughSpooknJukescoughcough*) You can readily move a slower than run speed on any platform.

On the topic of "why even make events":

So you think that it's ok for Behavior to just drop shields in random locations on the map that only benefit survivors, but not ok to make their hitboxes bigger to benefit killer? I'm just trying to follow the logic.

    I think they're the funniest ######### ever

I'm kinda burnt out on Killer so these snowpeople are the perfect thing to help me not take killer so cereal
