why do people do this
I just had a Ghostface match where i had killed two of the survivors (well, one of them had DC'd after I downed them) and the other two were in a really bad spot because i had a really good 4-gen, as well as 4 devour hope stacks
For like ten minutes i was just patrolling and i didnt see the slightest hint of any of them so it got to the point where i just decided to afk and eat lunch. I ######### finish my pizza and still nothing has happened so i continue patrolling until my game decides it wants to crash. Why do survivors do this

Would that be an instance of holding the game hostage? If so, you should probably post a video if you recorded it and report them.

When i see surv starting to do this when they are loosing and i cant find anyone after 2+ mins, i start à record just in case i wanna report them

How nice it would be if DBD incentivized survivors to work together, rather than throw eachother to the dogs.

I wouldnt even mind if it like killer didnt get reward for the blood point for it.
Id be ok with that as long as i get into a new match and not wait forever for the last person decide to play nice

Yeah I hate when that happens, it's so boring and it's a complete waste of time. Can even take up to an hour just to find at least one survivor.

Sadly not.
I think the devs confirmed this a while back - survivors refusing to finish the gens and memeing with sabos/playing hide and seek for an hour doesn't qualify because the killer can still technically win.
And yes OP, generally the best solution is just to AFK and hope you don't get reported for non participation.

The last time this happened I had just decided to run spies from the shadows and so I found them pretty quick and was accused of hacking, I told them spies from the shadows carried me and they tried to say the perk doesn't work in that way and reported me anyway but I found it hilarious that I decided to run that perk the match I really needed it even though I was just bored switching my build up when it started.
