Listen out for when ever she grunts, when she grunts it means she's readying up a Hatchet
Don't throw down pallets or go through windows all willy nilly, as she can throw hatchets over them netting her a hit.
Keep in mind that The Huntress is a bit slower than normal, meaning you can run around loops for longer compared to your standard killer
She moves even slower when readying up and putting away a hatchet, this might net you a bit more distance.
Try to have cover available as much as you can, The Huntress thrives in open areas.
She only has a limited amount of hatchets, 5 to be exact (can be increased with add ons, up to a maximum of 8) try to keep in mind how many she has while being chased.
Thats all I can think of for now, might add on if I think of something later :)

Huntress can be pretty dangerous, but she runs slower than most killers. Avoid running in straight lines or she'll easily line up a shot on you. One trick that isn't immediately apparent but is extremely important in DBD is to look behind you while running - instead of using the W key exclusively, rotate the camera to alternate behind you and in front of you and move your hand around WASD to compensate for the backwards/sideways camera angles. Takes a bit of practice, but it pays off to see what ranged/semi-ranged killers are doing behind you. When you see her preparing a throw and you're in the open, start juking from side to side. If there's a high wall, run around it; if all you can reach is a low wall, you can crouch to avoid the hatchet, though this is a difficult thing to pull off as she can move much faster than you in this state.
Generally, go to jungle gyms and buildings, but be careful about vaulting windows and pallets if she's right behind you, because she'll see it coming and prepare a hatchet to hit you while you're still animation locked. Don't try to camp pallets against her. Really, only use pallets when she's out of hatchets or right on your tail and you can actually stun her.
If she starts throwing hatchets and missing, count them. She has some addons that'll change her number of hatchets, but by default, if you see her use five hatchets, she doesn't have any more in the tank until she reloads at a locker.

She has a visual/audio tell when she raises her hatchet, and there's a sort of... "sheen" sound when it's fully readied. Don't vault windows in front of her, or drop/vault pallets, because that's a really easy hit due to you being stuck in an animation- move unpredictably, use the environment to break line of sight, and try to count how many hatches she's thrown if she's in chase with you since she only has a limited amount and will have to reload sometimes.
These tips generally come from me playing as Huntress sometimes, though, if any survivor mains have better tips they'd definitely know more than I do.
