So I played the artist for a week straight…

And I still think she’s way to strong coming from the killer POV and survivor POV. She has arguably one of the best Base-Kits in the entire game. This killer basically has everything. Map-wide detection, map wide injuries/downs, power goes infinitely through walls, extreme anti-loop, and 115% movement speed. Because she’s 115% movement speed she’s almost guaranteed to get a hit on you at a loop even if you leave the loop. She does have a high skill cap when it comes to downing and injuring cross map but that’s about it. At loops she’s just brain dead. Overall I think she’s fun but I admit it’s a pain going against her. I still think something needs to be tweaked about her though. I think maybe make it so repelling crows doesn’t reset the bar when you loop drop pallets etc.

Did a double down yesterday, was pretty satisfying.

I personally think the Artist is the most unfun killer to go against in the game currently. The amount of multitasking you need to do all while looking behind you to see if they double back/mind game only to get hit with a dire crow either from the sides or front is truly miserable. Boring anti looping killer.

Bottom A tier at best imo forsure

Yeah it is pretty satisfying but it can be hard to get cross map downs at times. At least for me.

I can see where you're coming from, but you're exaggerating the map-wide range. She can only down/injure survivors from extreme range if the survivor can be read that easily. There's simply far too many options for the survivor at that distance that it's an insecure shot at best. If you get damaged because of that, either you were too predictable, or she got lucky.

I can't speak much for the survivor side, as I have only faced her once to this day. I didn't know that letting go of the repel action reset it. That would actually be a fair nerf, if perhaps not all that impactful.

[Add.] That said, much like Nurse, her main weakness is uncertainty of knowledge, If she gets it wrong, she loses distance because of the cast slowdown and launch slowdown, plus the following cooldown. You can exploit this by being unpredictable. Ie. counterintuitive movement, denying information, or if at all possible, supplying wrong information.

I have to agree with the post below me, however. Let a killer be good for a change. Let me have this.

No. Let a killer be good.

I haven't had issues going against her, but I don't think I've gone against one that seemed particularly ingenious with her power, just kind of average what I'd expect from an Artist.

It's really hard to get a mapwide health state with her unless the survivor's super readable - like, runs in a straight line with repelling crows readable. It's really easy to avoid that and feed her bad information the same way you'd trick BBQ.

The one thing I think she does too strong is being able to camp NOED from a hook. She can also camp Devour Hope this way. Either way, she makes the totem impossible to cleanse by resetting the action bar with every injure.

I think she's fine as is. Playing against her you can't just mindlessly abuse loops anymore and have to think differently and adept to how she's playing to counter her. Mostly just by holding W.

Getting those map wide shots getting swarmed happens fairly often, but getting injured across the map or was either she got a very lucky predicted shot or you allowed her to injure you.

For the reset progress on Crow repeal if progress was kept I could see that seriously hurting to Artist. It's already fairly quick If you immediately attempt to get it off she should only have 1 attempt for the injure unless you let them stay on you.

She’s fine, coming from a killer and survivor pov too.

    You’re exaggerating.

Not everyone in the game runs Dead Hard, contrary to popular belief.

LOS breaking isn’t always applicable and is also irrelevant?

How is breaking LOS irrelevant? Since when are maps flat terrains with no structures?

Most effective playstyle at high levels is to shoot where you last saw the survivor and where you think they’ll be at high level. Similar to Nurse.

Problem is The Artist can cover most if not all of the area you’d be in.
