BHVR clearly hates Spirit and Artist
You reveal that Spirit’s inspiration is coming to DBD and probably will pull a Billy with Spirit soon to make everyone buy the ring girl with money over saving shards for an original. Spirit will always be better so don’t do anything to her BHVR or I’m probably quitting the game. I almost quit when NFTs happened but Spirit was the only thing keeping me from leaving.
Also, it’s been only two weeks since Artist came out and let’s just forget all about her like that and reveal the next chapter that probably won’t come out for another 3 months. How about you instead give Artist some love with cosmetics because she only has 3?
Rin and Carmina don’t deserve any of this!

We really don't know what the new killer will be like at all, mechanically speaking. There's no reason to get this worked up about her power at this stage.

Because Spirit was mostly inspired by ring girl and I assume she’ll have about the same power just like Bubba and Billy.

There are better licenses that deserve the spotlight in my opinion.

Yeah I’m also sick of them. This is the third license in four chapters and they already screwed up RE and Hellraiser brought in NFTs so I can only imagine how big of a disaster this is going to be.

Bubba was really rushed, developmentally. I'm not too worried; things are a lot more polished than they used to be, even if the balance can sometimes leave things to be desired.
Spirit and Samara are both yurei, but that doesn't make them clones of each other. Rin definitely seems to be more of a 'will materialize behind you and physically hack you to bits' type of vengeful ghost than Samara is, because what she does has always been a more psychological, insidious sort of haunting. Rin was a fencer in life and has a whole wrathful ancestral curse deal going on; Samara's deal is more neglect and depression iirc.

I agree we should not already be talked about next killer when beautiful Carmina just blazed the stage 2 weeks ago.
What I don't agree with is Spirit based off the ring. I always assumed she was based off The Grudge. Also hag is totally The Blair Witch not a ######### Wendigo I hear that a lot I know it's not on subject.

Got it now. But honestly, you need to calm down about your ‚beloved‘ spirit, it’s getting kinda annoying. Even if the ringu killer is similar, you’re gonna play anyways, let’s be real.

Maybe I’m overreacting because Spirit means a lot more to me than the majority of the forums probably thinks and I would be heartbroken seeing her get dumped to irrelevancy.

The funny thing is, Bubba didn't make Billy irrelevant. Bubba was far, far worse than Billy for the longest time, and while Bubba's buffs helped switch their positions quite a lot, Hillbilly's fall from grace had a lot to do with his nerfs and other killers being released that did his mobility job better than he did - Oni and Blight. And Bubba and Billy still do have very distinct playstyles despite Billy loosely being inspired by Bubba Sawyer.
I can understand your caution, but just looking at the trailer, it looks like her power will have something to do with the well. I'm not concerned about her being mechanically similar to Spirit at this stage.

I do find it weird that they already revealed a chapter that isn't coming out for 3 more months. No teasers, no subtle hints, no nothing. Just boom, here you go. Artist has been out for literally 2 weeks and yet it feels like they're already moving on from her like she's not a new killer anymore.
That said, I'd like to actually see what this killer's power will be first, but I understand why you would be worried in regards to spirit.
