The Good Ole Days…
I really miss the good ole days when D Strike and Keys worked and applied pressure to the matches. Now it’s just so Pleasantville gray… gone are the days when matches could end like this

You want old DS and Keys? What is wrong with you

Isn't it obvious? Evul survs can never get enough and always want moar, moar, MOAR!!!11 /s
But to be real, that ending was fun, but also very, very brutal on that pior killers psyche. Its good for a chuckle, but its even better that this days are gone.

Let's not bring back widely unbalanced mechanics.

Based on the way D strike was used the new D strike would have still worked…it’s just the insta hatch opening with a Key. Keys are now more worthless than tool boxes with the hatch/key nerfs.

Good

I mean look at dis vid u posted. Hes camping hatch, tbagging, throw pallet and spams fast vault, etc. Im glad if those kind of player dont like this game anymore and leave.

God pls no.

Sure but to be balanced bring back old mori’s see how fun it is then

Let me think… 🤔… nope, not missing multiple survivors getting out with a key.

I play both sides so I wouldn’t care.
Old D strike was fine. It was easily countered by killer either slugging the injured unhooked survivor or completely ignoring them for 60 seconds. I have noticed since the nerf killers are quick to tunnel the unhooked survivor fast and in the first half of the match to get the ratio of survivors down to a 3v1. Survivors may complete 3 or 4 gens depending on their behavior during the face camp. The hooked survivor has to just hangout to allow the gens to get done w/o killer pressure. With old D strike this gave a group of survivors a chance at getting gens down to a 2 or 1 gens with a tunneling killer.
Old hatch/key we’re fine. In situations where killer tunnels first half of match and only 3-4 gens get done this gives the 3v1 or 2v1 a chance at an escape. Especially if the killer face camped or tunneled both killed survivors. Why should a killer who has applied 0 gen pressure get an increased odds of a 4K bc hatch doesn’t spawn in game? Why should a 2v1 team be forced to finish gens against a killer that could easily phase or transport between gens? If a killer gets the survivors down to a 2 v 1 with more than 1 gen left to pop to power exit gates it’s over for both survivors.
And the things above working correctly 100% depends on survivors being cooperative and altruistic. This almost never happens outside of a SWF of 4 maybe 3. Throw in more than 2 survivors not in a team and not doing gens, urban evasion-ing the whole map, not running BT, or any number of factors and killers going to wipe the board with the survivors eventually bc gens aren’t getting done and you literally cannot escape without gens getting done or random luck w open/hatch spawn.

There's literally an addon for a key that gives you a wallhack to see a killer while looping. Yeah really worthless.

No thanks.

Normally I'm all ears. But my ears are all closed with this.

Ok, keys were more fun, but this also reminds me that 90% of the community was wrong with the uproar about the HUD update.

I wouldn't have wanted to be a fly on there bedroom wall

I miss the old moris where you could instantly mori the first survivor without hooking them, this was alot of fun!
2 -
If you were relying on Hatch to escape, you just weren't that good of a Survivor

What's the point of this video? It basically just shows how unpleasant you and your friends are to play against and why these mechanics were changed in the first place. I'd be kind of ashamed to post something like that tbh.

sure as long as we get old morris ruin and og noed(not a hex) back.

One of the very few things I miss from "the good ol' days" was survivor walking, idle and injured animations.
The old DS and keys are not amongst those few things.

I would take old moris and keys over mmr. DBD is better as a party game than as a wannabe e-sport

"I miss being able to tee-hee open the hatch in a swf and escape in the killers face! We are so EPIC XDXDD!" Let me guess, you also thought ebony moris were overpowered?

But we weren’t relying on hatch. We had at least one door queued up to escape and all 4 survivors in the game. Hatch was just an option bc we had a key. We could have very well took the door route too.

If you weren't relying on it then, why buff Hatch and Keys to their overpowered state then?

Again a viable option has now been made unviable. Nerfing keys/hatch has eliminated a strategy from the survivor handbook and has also eliminated another con for camping/tunneling the very first hooked survivor. How the game is played by either side is based on choice, each choice has a consequence. When you eliminate a choice you eliminate a consequence. Keys/hatch def have survivors another route of escape. Now that option is almost eliminated as viable escape from a camping/tunneling killer.
