Are we going to get a FULL static of killer's kill and pick rate this year?

I mean, we know that we are not receive any killer this year, so I kind curius if we're going to get a FULL statics about killer's kill/pick rate this year (Not like the one we received on the last Q&A livestream, that one was only from july-september if I remember correctly), like other years?

Hopefully none at all. Oblivious players will use those stats and be like "Well, Killers have over 50% kill rate, they all need nerfed!"

They're nice to look at but they're about as inaccurate as something that is very inaccurate. I don't think I have to say why, so no I'm not really interested in seeing the stats.

I'd like to at least have the stats post MMR. The latest stats we received like you mentioned were only from July to September, and that included 2 months of the old Rank system and 1 month of MMR. So while kill rates stats are really not that reliable, the ones they showed us are even worse due to mixing both.

You mean like that other thread saying nurse needs a buff because her kill rate was below 50%?

Virtually everybody saying that is saying it sarcastically. Even the devs explicitly said in a dev chat they don’t use only kill rates to balance killers and pointed to Nurse as an example of why.

Yeah. Or Killer players will find any excuse why Killer is "miserable" by stating that BHVR is lying in their stats or that the stats are flawed in any way.
I hope BHVR will never release statistics again.

On the flip side though you have people saying killers need major buffs based on nothing more than rampant speculation and emotion. Kill rates aren’t the only data set but they also aren’t totally meaningless. Nurse having a 40% kill rate doesn’t mean she needs a buff, but it DOES tell you that there is something unique about Nurse that is causing her to have such a low kill rate (in her case, it’s almost certainly a flag indicating that she has a much, much steeper learning curve than other killers.) Likewise a hypothetical killer with an exceptionally high kill rate (say 60%) might be an indication there’s something specific about them that could be a broken part of their kit. If all the killers are in the same general ballpark of kill rates it’s not necessarily the end of the story, but it does at least tell you there’s no immediate red flag there.

Nurse got a 3 Blinks Add-on. Everything is possible, even another Nurse buff

Honestly, I like to see the pick rate rather than the kill rate.

i'd just like to see pick rates tbh.
as soon as we bring kill rates into the mix everyone immediately jumps to balance assumptions soley based on the stats, which is rarely, if ever, a good thing.
but i'd be really interested to see how popular certain Killers have become over the time - especially after they received changes to their kits.

If they release Pick Rates, I'll have nightmares for weeks seeing Demogorgon all the way at the bottom

Dude, it was complete satire. That much was even pointed out on the thread multiple times.

Why not both like the chart they did above?
1 -
I agree that we should have both, but what I was saying is that I more interest in pick rate than kill rate when they release these statics.

Most people don't know how to interpret stat breakdowns and we don't often get enough information to contextualize the stats appropriately anyway.
Seeing a killer with a 50% or higher winrate looks damning, but it could be their win rate is high due to people not really picking that character in enough measure to pull it down overall. Some killers with dismal rates could just be so popular a pick that their win percentage is just cratered until people start getting better overall or drop off from the killer.
It's a nice to have, but not a necessity.
