What If The Green Goblin Was A Playable Killer
So hello again guys and this time I am back with another forum post, but this time I thought about doing something I haven't really thought of before and that is if The Green Goblin was a playable killer in Dead By Daylight.
Now actually a couple days ago, I tried making a concept for how The Green Goblin would work in this game, which I almost posted on the forums, but then I noticed a whole bunch of flaws with his power to a point where I just scrapped it all, but I might end up tweaking or reworking some of the aspects I made with how exactly The Green Goblin's power would work, so ya I might end up making a Green Goblin killer concept soon.
Now first of all, this is probably never going to happen, but I'm looking at this like a "What if Dead By Daylight didn't use just mainly Horror IP's" sort of deal.
So now I want to go over on what exactly are my thoughts that say in a alternate reality, where Dead By Daylight didn't just use Horror IP's, and if they were some how in some way able to get The Green Goblin (Which the version I'm thinking of BHVR using is the 2002 Sam Raimi "Spiderman" version) into the game, and what I would think of it, and the answer I would say is...
Yes.
After watching the film that he came from, or just specifically his character, I thought that he was a bit terrifying in some aspects, and after seeing "Spiderman: No Way Home" (No Spoilers Included), I thought that if BHVR decided to not do a Horror IP once, I honestly thought that The Green Goblin would easily be such a great pick for being a non Horror IP character.
So overall, is this forum post a bit goofy?

So now after all of this I just said, I want to know your thoughts that if somehow one day, The Green Goblin all of a sudden gets announced as a new killer, what do you think his power, esthetics, addons, etc. Would be, and most importantly, what is your thoughts of if The Green Goblin as a character in general and would he somewhat be cool in Dead By Daylight.
But ya with all of that out of the way I think that's everything I have to say about this forum post.

I think that would be cool if Goblin was in this game but, I always say this if we get a comic book character it's gonna be the Joker or Scarecrow that's how I feel but, I would love to se Goblin in this game

@Phasmamain If there is no Willem Dafoe, then there is no Green Goblin.
But if there is a Willem Dafoe, then it is THE Green Goblin.

I want them to expand outside of just horror which they have already done with getting an action game character like Nemesis but I want characters that actually fit. Like a Killer Croc or a Scarecrow. Not Green Giblets.

I hope not, super hero movies are there own genre, a lot of mechanics are already watering down the survival horror theme of the game characters that water it down fruther would kinda suck.

@pseudechis Ya, I mean this forum post is more of a "What if scenario", but ya I really do agree with a lot of the survival horror theme of characters are really going down the drain nowadays. just look at Nemesis from The Resident Evil 3 Remake for example.

I get where your coming from he's a villain and a great character. They could definitely make comic book villains part of the game.
Its just the theme of DBD that drew me to it, sneaking in to the movies to watch the original Halloween as a kid and having solid nightmares about it afterwards is what draws me to the horror theme of the game. Sometimes its fun to be scared.
If the game strays further from a horror survival to a party chase game with popular characters I'd lose more and more interest in it. There are plenty of games based on marvel and DC characters, I don't think DBD needs it. That's just me though.

@pseudechis I 100% agree with your statement. If DBD didn't have much Horror characters and had just characters from a lot of non Horror franchises that wouldn't be much appealing at all, but since the Horror genre blends in very well with the whole cat and mouse aspect, and having characters (mostly Horror characters) that scared you from in childhood hunt you down in this game is just pure awesomeness if you ask me.

@ThatOneDemoPlayer tbh it kind of would be fun. And even in a Green Goblin killer concept I ended up scraping, those were the 2 first things that came to mind, but then I just added a whole bunch of useless or just overwhelming gameplay aspects to him, and that's how I scraped my concept, But ya it would be cool.
