Add mouse and keyboard support to console please
In my opinion I think it's important that the team prioritizes mouse and keyboard support for console. This game on console is not up to par with PC, especially when it comes to playing killer.
We should have the same opportunities to master certain killers just like PC does, this is not currently possible on console with a controller where you either sacrifice speed or precision because certain killers need both for effective play.
There are plenty of benefits to implementing support, I will list the reasons below.
1 - New players drawn in by M&K support, I personally play on an Xbox Series X and the list for M&K supported games right now is about 50 games. This is a tiny list and I promise there is plenty of people that would start playing this game knowing they can play on their preferred input device.
2 - Old players who might have quit or taking breaks come back to play more frequently knowing they have the chance to play the killers they usually can't on a controller.
3 - Disabled people who might not be able to play this particular game on a controller but would be able to play it on M&K. This is your chance to show you care about the disabled community, not just when it hurts your wallet or when you get bad publicity.
4 - Speaking of wallets, I'm confident that you would make all the money that you spend to implement this back and plenty more.
I don't think I'm mistaken when I say that Dead By Daylight is in it for the long run, a unique one of a kind game that has unlimited potential.
M&K support is one thing stopping a lot of players from committing to this game fully, especially on new-gen consoles because they can't get a an experience as high-quality as PC, so show them there is a future for players who are unsatisfied with the one current input method and they will put time and money into this game. It really is that simple.
5 - This would improve the health and fun of the game. Many would rejoice with M&K support and immediately start having more fun, many different killers would start appearing in games and the game would feel a good bit more fresh. More killer players would better balance the survivor to killer ratio and matchmaking times would probably improve noticeably.
6 - I think ultimately this is an obvious choice for you guys, this is a one-off issue. You fix it and that's it, unlike balancing issues and bugs you can just cross this off your never ending list forever to make it just that bit shorter.
There is one important ending note however, if you're gonna do this you have to do it properly. Not saying this feature has to be perfect on release but you have to actively commit to and work on it until it is on par with PC, so no shenanigans, I think I speak for all fellow console gamers when I say we expect the same options as PC when it comes to mouse sensitivity, key bindings, etc.
