Analysis of the current situation and new killer: the Slaver
At present, there are many game mechanics, each enhanced by one or more killers. For example:
1) the spiritual dimension, independently of its name, is shared by the Wraith, the Nurse, the Spirit, the Nightmare;
2) the speed of exploration is the realm of the Hillbilly, the Wraith, the Spirit, the Nurse, who can exert a strong pressure on the survivors;
3) the traps are shared between the Trapper, the Hag and the Pig, with different tactical advantages, which however revolve around the same theme;
4) the stealth is dominated by the Shape, with the complicity of the crouched Pig, of the cloaked Wraith, of the Cannibal and of the Nightmare;
5) the psychophysical alterations are instead induced by the Doctor and the Clown, to slow down the work on the objectives, hinder the escape or wipe out the stealth;
6) the ferocity of the attacks is the prerogative of the Hillbilly, the Cannibal, the Legion and the Shape;
7) remote attacks are a monopoly of the Huntress alone, and it is precisely on this side that I formulate my proposal for a new killer.
Talking to a friend of mine, we thought of a new killer, the Slaver, equipped with a long whip ending in a noose, with which he can hit very quickly a survivor in a radius of 32 meters or, if already injured, capture them with the technique of roping, typical of the gaucho, and drag them to himself by rewinding the whip (at a speed of 8 m/s, that is 200%). To balance such a great power, the survivor can begin to wiggle free as soon as they are caught up (but Decisive Strike cannot be used until they are not on the killer's shoulder), so the killer has to calculate carefully time and distance from the nearest hook.
People of the Fog, and powerful Developers (@not_Queen @Patricia @Peanits @Suggestive and other people I don't know), what do you think? I believe there is a great need for another killer capable of attacking at a distance, but with a completely new mechanic, different from everything we have seen so far.

I have an issue with saying that The Nightmare resides in the spirit dimension.
Other then that, my opinion is that this is... Alright.

Full Ranged Killer: NO
Make him melee with 4.6m/s movespeed and with a high CD ability ranged skillshot (when he hits a uninjured survivor they will take damage and maybe get the hindered debuff) if they are injured he will capture em like you said. If he misses he is stuck in a animation similar to when billy whiffs his chainsaw
But a spamable ranged attack is impossible to balance (with 32m range lul).
And in times of hyper sensetive Americans a Killer called slaver with a whip ... well0 -

to the OP, check out the Gamekeeper of identity V, its exactly your "hookshot" idea (maybe with different numbers, and simpler mechanism)
Im actually amazed this idea hasnt been implemented into dbd. Some community members might call it ripoff or stolen from other games tho (roadhog, pudge, blitzcrank etc)0 -

Haha, never implied your slaver to be a ripoff, i was jusst saying that identity v has a working killer with that, you might've wanted to have a look how it would work(wiki or yt), although with instant reeling in and potential instantdowns (1dmg by rope followed by normal m1).
The "not instant reeling in" would fit dbd more i guess.0
