WHY THE HELL THERE'S SBMM IN A GAME THAT IS NOT COMPETITIVE?
Seriously, that doesn't make any sense. I can't have fun in any killer matches because my matches is only with tryhard survivors who think they're in the finals of a championship.
The game was great as it was and they destroyed the fun for killers.

Because the developers of this game are so far out of touch when it comes to their own game?

I don't think the game was great as is if the only way you could have fun was to vs meming/bad/lower skill players than yourself.

Yeah, for sure

Oh look, someone who's complaining about how losing feels bad and doesn't connect the dots.
So long as you intend to play with the goal of a 4K, expect to be matched with Survivors that intend to escape.
If you have any problems with certain balance aspects, do bring it up, but MMR isn't the problem here, hypocrisy is.
I really hope you're an advocate for Hatch returning to its former glory in some manner or another. (as well as a post-death state for Survivors)

Devs out of touch. Duh.

What the hell are you talking about? I don't care about 4k, I care about having fun. I liked to test builds, play with not so strong killers, make the match last and be fun for both sides.
But since the arrival of SBMM it doesn't exist anymore because everyone only cares about destroying their fingers on generators using only meta perks that everyone here knows very well what they are.
Lately I'm having to sacrifice my soul to get 1 kill or at most 2 because all matches are extremely fast.

Then "Meme around" for a few games. That might influence things.
Edit but there has to be some reset of some kind at work so I should probably not judge, I've been having matches where It's damn near obvious some Survivors don't know how to run specific tiles.

Nothing is preventing you from playing how you want. But why would you expect to win against players as good as you are using gimmicky builds and strategies? It sounds like you want to win, but not try to win, but get upset when you lose because you’re not playing against opponents who aren’t as good as you are. Not to mention if you lose a couple games your MMR goes down and you’ll be against easier survivors on average anyway.

Because people insisted on better matchmaking and we got this

Killers "Hey we arent having fun"
dumbos "its probably just because you're bad"
killers *plays sweaty or camps and tunnels to win cause its easier and most bad survivors don't know how to counter it*
dumbos "killers these days are so toxic"
its been fun to spectate this bullshittery

I had a match against a Huntress that stood all game facing a wall, in the post game chat they said they were trying to lower their MMR so they get easier matches. Idk if it works really, but that may be one way around it. I guess if you get many matches with 0k you will eventually be moved to lower level games, worse survivors or maybe more newbies.

Can I get a link to where a dev or someone said this game is not competitive? Because so far I have never seen one. Just players insisting so.

Pretty sure it was killer mains in general demanding an MMR system for years.
2 -
No, it was predominately survivors complaining about potato teammates.
There's zero reason for killers to want MMR.
2 -
New killers certainly do not want to be matched with players with thousands of hours. Devs want players to stay and at least have a shot at winning some of their initial matches.
2 -
That's less about MMR and more about the lack of killer players being present.
If there was actually an abundance of killer players, you wouldn't see brand new killer players thrown into high level survivors because the game is desperate to fill the queue.

game that is not competitive
It's an asymmetrical Player vs Player game where you're facing off against strangers. By pure definition it is competitive, no matter how many times people would like to claim that "its a party game".
You want a casual experience? Do custom matches.

Because SBMM only applies to Survivors. Killer scores straight-up get thrown out to give high rating survivors faster queues.
The whole system was engineered to help the 80% of players, at the expense of the 20%.
Skill Based Match Making is not the problem. The fact that it is NOT BEING APPLIED to killers is the problem. If high skill survivors had to wait for an hour because there are no high ranked killers for them, the game would feel a zillion times better (and it would really show off how one-sided the game is at high values)
