With the intro of SBMM, why are old ranks called "grade" and not something akin to monthly miletones
Grade implies that players are still being ranked depending on their skill. I've been playing about a month and reached Iri 2 last night. I'm still learning how to loop and don't even know maps that well yet. Seems wrong to be in the 2nd to highest "grade" that exists. The current system is mostly a measure of how much you play monthly, not of skill level, so why are they called grades?
Secondly, why is there no longer a viewable post-game system that allows a player to measure their skill level relative to the population? That's pretty unheard of in a PvP game. The invisible MMR or something similar should be displayed.
I've been reading about how the current MMR system works, and to me it seems odd that there aren't separate ratings for the different categories used in the pip system compared to the length of the game in order to determine overall skill.

Yep MMR should be visible.
But if u got to iri2 u can´t be that bad.

Just hit Iri 1. This doesn't feel like an accomplishment playing against killers that don't chase for more than 5 seconds and can't down anyone until the exit gates are powered.
I just wanna know how good I actually am and things to improve on.

Then you are strangely lucky to still get these.
If you escape multiple times your mmr should rise and you should come across some of the real killers. There the fun ends.
If you still escape then you are simply a god in this game.
