I feel like my life as killer would be so much nicer without 99%ing doors being a thing

Killers don't have one single handholding mechanic, so I don't know what you're on about there. The egc timer literally slows to a snail's pace when someone is downed or hooked, just to give the survivors more time. And no, we don't need an EXCHANGE for 99'd gates regressing. That should just be a thing, plain and simple. Survivors escaping when egc is finished would absolutely ruin this game. There have been so many matches in F13th where people just run out the time limit, and it is so boring to play and to watch.

We don't need an exchange to change a mechanic that renders another mechanic irrelevant.
Also; no. Survivors should die when EGC ends. The last thing I want is immersed jerks hiding for the entire EGC. Don't know WHERE you got Survivors getting a literal free escape is a good thing from. Otehr than this flawed idea that Survivors always need something in their favor.

Even a survivor I hate when people 99 doors. the only time I do it is if I know someone is coming without the killer after them.
It can screw over team members and it's just annoying as killers when survivors can one tap a door.

Not the entitled killer main post.

Do you just love calling anything and everything that nerfs Survivors or bulls Killers 'entitled Killer main' posts?
You're the type of player that's strangling this game; you want everything on the 'other side' to be as weak as possible, and whip out the personal attacks the second anyone is not asking for Survivor buffs or Killer nerfs.

Right, let's pretend bloodlust doesn't exist

Agreed, if they remove camping at egc

Imagine thinking bloodlust is a 'hand holding mechanic' 5 years into the game's life.
It exists to ensure Survivors can't infinite, since they're literally, not supposed to be able too.
But I guess, if some folks scream 'NoED rewards failure' others will scream 'Bloodlust is handholding'. It's like some people don't understand game design and just think 'This prevents me from winning, therefore it's to be shunned'

Keep coping

Rofl. Whatever. I'm not the one who has to cope with bloodlust not being a hand-holding mechanic.

I don’t see 99ing the gates at a problem honestly
1 -
It really is not. For the side of the community who likes to play the victim all the time on the other hand.. they like to pretend it is a major problem. (Or even call it an exploit and get tons of Upvotes, despite the Devs saying that it is intended and that they already decided against regressing Exit Gates)

Yeah like killers like Myers can 99 thier power and it’s awful to be on the receiving end of it but it’s not a problem. Way to many people complain about nothing. And now complaints about self unhooking😑
2 -
Oh please, like Survivors are any better; whining about White Ward not doing something it's never done.
Or how about the guy who felt Killers should lose BP for slugging?
Oh! Or the guy who said facecamping should be reportable!
But the issues of gen speeds comes up? 'Lol, no.'
Survivors also whine about the lamest crap and demand Killers not be allowed to actually do their intended goal. So don't pretend it's only one sided.

Never did I say killer were the only ones complaining. I only brought up the self unhook because 1) it was the latest one and 2) it’s one that is absolutely ridiculous. I understand complaints about dead hard or face camping at five gens

Well. I am the killer main, but I can also understand why survivors don't want to lose an useful exploit.
Yes. I think 99% it is exploit, not really big, but it still gives an opportunity for survivors to not worry about EgC to for example find NOED. This also counters perks like BW, because it activates only AFTER the gates are open. Killer unlikely will have a time or chance to open gates himself, due to for example chase or securing hook whole 2-3 another survivors trying to unhook. In thus case some perks become unplayable.
So, as I said, surviving don't want to lose useful exploit. So I'd like to introduce an compromise. The 99% will simply slowly reduse to 95...or batter 90% after 5 sec of not being powered.
In thus case survivors will still be able to prepare an exit, but they need to act quickly, knowing that there will be few seconds before full open. There will be choose: secure exit by opening it, but start timer for save my teammate or to open it till 95%, having time for act but have risk getting extra hit.
Something like that

If 99ing exit gates is an issue and people think there should be regression, I'm assuming you all also support Myers and Ghostface stalk regression so they can't just pop their power at will. You also should support Doc madness regression because if I'm not being shocked, why should my madness stay at a certain level. totally unfair.
Yes my counter argument is dumb because the original argument is dumb as well.
A couple of reasons to not fully open a gate
- Killer may have Blood Warden
- You want to search for a possible or confirmed NOED totem before going to save someone on hook
- You want to save a teammate and want to make sure there's enough time to heal everyone and coordinate

Exactly or a save without having time against you

Nowhere near the same thing, but you do you.

That's not handholding. That's a weak bandaid to bad loop design, which btw isn't even consistent in its purpose because some loops have no mindgame even with Bloodlust 3. I'm pretty sure if Bloodlust wasn't a thing, there would be far more games where the killer couldn't even get 1 down before the game was over. Assume a killer does get a down "just because of Bloodlust". What does that matter when gens fly? It's only impacting a small part of the game. It doesn't even come close to being described as "game changing" for the killer. Y'all just view killers as second rate players who don't deserve anything beneficial.
