It's Pasidon. Again. I love coming up with killer ideas and stories, so here's another fun one for you folks. If you would like to see my last one, have a click.

The Drifter

Story

Deadman's Highway. The Gambler's Mile. From Las Vegas, Nevada to Tombstone, Arizona, an unmapped road spans across the American southwest, piercing through the heart of the Mojave Desert. Its existence is denied by the US government, for no known map or satellite image contains any evidence of its existence. Those who claim to have seen the road believe it only appears to those who gambled on the Vegas strip and lost everything. Those who have felt the cruel misfortunes of the dice find Deadman's Highway when all other roads seem hopeless.

The few who survived this long stretch of phantom tarmac say it is endless miles of desert and complete absence. There are no detours, no stops, and no turning back. They also claim that there is no one else on this road, except, they all share the same sighting of a mysterious Cadillac Eldorado. The ancient car appears to all who risk the Deadman's Highway, driving a short distance behind the lost road's guests. Some who survived say the Cadillac had no driver, while others claim the devil himself was behind the wheel.

There are of course, also stories of those who didn't survive. They say your life depended on a full tank of gas. When that meter hits zero, your luck was done. When your car stops, so does his. The Devil's Cadillac waits behind you, watching in complete silence. The moment you look away from your rear-view mirror, your final ride is over. A hooded man with long hair that hides his face appears, using his chain to pull you from your seat and strangle you. And those who took their last breath under the Drifter's noose - they too become forgotten.

Playstyle

The Drifter is a killer that relies on cunning to hunt his prey. While unseen by survivors, the Drifter moves at an accelerated pace, giving off no terror radius whatsoever. He can navigate through pallets and windows with ease in this form, but when at least one survivor has line of sight on him, the Drifter is vulnerable. When in sight, he moves slowly, and his 32 meter terror radius is revealed to all survivors.

When in his seen form, the Drifter is still dangerous. While he is slower than most killers, his power gives him an edge around obstacles. Using the Devil's Noose, which is a towing chain, he can wind-up for a ranged attack. The wind-up takes a second to complete, slowing him down for a moment, causing the Drifter to spin his chain. When released, the chain takes a medium-ranged attack that is long enough to attack over dropped pallets, windows and movement barriers. As long as the Drifter remains in a chase, he cannot enter his stealth form. If the survivor looses sight of him or his red stain when escaping, he will be undetectable until he is seen again.

Perks

I've made 3 perks that not only support the Drifter's play style, but I also considered really new and unique concepts that the game hasn't touched yet. The Drifter is all about mind-games, so I made 3 perks in relation to his abilities. I didn't really invest too much in the perk art this time, but who cares. These are all rank 3 considerations, by the way.

Devil's Bargain

You become obsessed with one survivor. Your obsession is notified when Devil's Bargain is in play. They are granted 100% extra bloodpoints at the end of each match if they did not participate in healing other survivors or themselves. If your obsession rescues 1 survivor from the hook, they may be killed by your hand.

Hotwire

At the start of each match, one generator is chosen at random. You cannot see the aura of this generator, but its repair speed is permanently reduced by 50%.

Concussive Strike

Hitting a survivor deafens them for 15 seconds, repressing your terror radius and other sounds entirely. In addition, the survivor also cannot see you for 5 seconds after being hit.
