Okay so anyone here actually got baited to use dead hard with the look up tech?
I genuinely think this Tech is near useless and doesn't work on majority of survivors in the game. In fact I consider myself a really good survivor but I have never seen a killer do this tech at all. Probably because I never noticed it in the first place, I don't specifically look at the killers tiny head tilt mid chase. I would assume that is the same for most players here and think you're having a placebo thinking you baited dead hard with that head tilt...Maybe it does work on like two survivors in your hundreds of matches....

To be blunt, people baiting out DH are usually the really bad survivors who have no idea how to actually use DH.
As a killer, if I know the opponent has DH, I don't need to bait a thing. Either the survivor will panic when I get too close and use it (without me needing to head tilt or stutter step or put my left hand in and shake it all about) or I'll never have the chance because the survivor I'm up against knows what they're doing and has already DH'ed for pallet/window already.

I've definitely baited some survivors with a head tilt or body twist. It's one of those things where it doesn't always work, but it doesn't slow you down at all so there's no harm trying it. 🤷♂️

Yeah that's what I meant. No one is getting baited out by Head tilts. They get baited by themseves and crumbled under the pressure then panicked dead hard. Head tilt techs is just a giant placebo imo.

I've never seen or used head tilting to bait out Dead Hard, didn't even know it existed until now

Or they're only going to do it at the last second when you do swing and also get to the pallet etc.

I love when I play wraith cuz I just hit my bell to make them dh.

From my killer experience, it has a decent chance of working. Then again, I play with Fearmonger a fair bit these days so I sometimes forget DH exists. I sometimes get 4 DHs and might confirm only 1 DH some games lol
I only do it one time for the most part.
As a survivor, I struggle to time my DH to the swing anyway so it's kinda irrelevant to me.

Now that seems more believable than head tilts lol

Definitely works better than a head tilt lol at least there's a resemblance of a swing animation

Honestly it never occurred to me until recently the reason Wraith does that is to bait a DH I thought the wraith was just memeing with the bell which got me to spam it when I'm playing Wraith as well lol. I think it might work better with Silent bell add ons.

I've never heard of it either. I usually do a U turn and run into the killer with Dead Hard so even if he doesn't swing I'm behind him. Usually gets me to a pallet.
If I'm on a straightaway I usually feel it out and I'm not looking at the killer, I'm watching the red stain as it creeps onto my back. I know they're not going to hold the bluff long enough for me to vault or get to a pallet, but they don't want me to successfully dead hard. I feel it in my soul.
I close my eyes.
I push the button.
I am exhausted, and my character twitches violently on the ground.

I haven't, but I have gotten plenty of survivors to dead hard early due to it. The thing about it is that you lose nothing for attempting. So there's no actual reason to not at least try it and maybe it works. You don't lose focus of the survivor, you don't slow down, etc. There is no draw back so why not? If it works even 1 out of 10 times, it's worth it to me.

Weird twitchy camera movements to bait people are annoying to do

Honestly same lol I don't run dead hard but if a wraith did it I'd blow it.... Tbh a head tilt would probably work on me XD I'm a very twitchy survivor

So far not a single survivor who confirmed that they got baited by look up tech. Just killers retelling their myths and legend lol.

It works maybe 1 time in a hundred, but it costs me nothing to try.
I have seen it work, but I have more like fanning my power with Doctor or Cenobite.

I'm usually not staring directly behind me , so I wouldn't even notice if they tried. don't use deadhead that often anyways

Also worth noting that Wraith's lunge and his Cloak animation both share a very distinct bone rattle sound effect. Survivors will hear it and panic dead hard thinking you're going to lunge, or maybe not being able to risk the fact you actually would lunge, and then bam they're dead.,
