Can you dead hard twice in one life?
Just played a game against a Laurie who dead harded twice in one life. Is that possible? None of her perks had anything that resets exhaustion. My question is how is it possible that she dead harded twice? Watched the video and she definitely did it twice no question about it. Considering she and a steve were running a flashligh/body block/sabotage hook combo this was the icing on the bullsh*t cake that made me question whether it is fun to run killer. Not to mention this came off of a game on Lery's where I picked up a survivor in a tight corner and was trapped by two survivors using flashlights and literally could not move. Had to give up the survivor and get no return on the investment.
I have nothing personal against dead hard and its my own unpopular opinion that it is a fine perk but gaddam you shouldnt be able to use it twice in one life. Killer's have to deal with an endless toolbox of unbalanced perks and a proportionally better killers gets stomped by 4 swfs with 16 usefull skills

Not that I am aware of, they need to wait out exhaustion or get unhooked to reset Dab Hard. If it was twice in a row, it might have been a weird visual/latency bug. Otherwise, I guess a hacker, most of those people suck so badly they can't remain subtle about it.

What do you mean by twice in one life? Dead Hard isn't tied to health states, it's tied to Exhaustion. Exhaustion (at tier 3) recharges every 40 seconds a survivor isn't running - a little less if someone's running Vigil, but that's fairly rare. It also recharges immediately if a survivor is hooked. If Laurie Dead Harded, escaped a chase, you found her again later, and she Dead Harded again, that's normal and her DH probably regenerated while she was working on a gen. If she Dead Harded twice in one chase, something is wrong.
If you manage to get a Dead Hard out of a survivor, it's often a good idea to commit to the chase and down them, or otherwise they'll have that extra 'health state' the next time you find them even if they don't bother to heal up.

When you say twice in "one life" I'm not sure whether you're referring twice before each hook state or twice before a survivor is sacrificed.
Nevertheless, yes survivors can Dead Hard twice. There is no limit, but there is a cooldown period. Survivors have to wait 40 seconds (or less with the perk Vigil) whilst not running and they can use DH again.

That clarifies it. She dhed and then ran away. Didn't know it was able to become available in 40 seconds. I always assumed a surv lost the ability to use it again once it is activated. I never play it myself and situationally its never been an issue before.

This is why killers and survivors both need to take time and actually read the perks before they complain about hacks.

But yeah exhaustion resets after 40 seconds if the perks level 3, so if they aren't running they will eventually be..not exhausted allowing them to use the perk again.
