Killer Concept: The Dryad
Killer: The Dryad
Movespeed: 115%
Weapon: Tree Bark Gauntlet
Power: Nature’s Wrath
The Dryad starts the trial with 4 seeds that let her plant Thorny Sprouts anywhere she wishes across the map. Upon planting a sprout, it will begin growing. For the first 30 seconds of its life, it is invulnerable and begins weaving thorny roots throughout the ground around it. Any survivor who walks on the roots suffers from decreased movement speed for as long as they remain on the roots and for a few seconds after leaving them. After 30 seconds have passed, the tiny sprout grows bigger, increasing the area around it that it sends the roots out to. During this time, survivors are able to interact with the grown sprout to destroy it, causing its roots in the area to wither. If the plant is not destroyed within 2 minutes of being planted, the roots will begin stretching even further while increasing the movement speed penalty of survivors on the roots. After 5 minutes of being planted, the sprout will grow to its maximum bloom, further increasing the area of roots and the speed penalty of them. Each time the sprout grows, it takes survivors longer to destroy it. Once a sprout is destroyed by a survivor, the Dryad gains a seed back and the ability goes on a 20 second cooldown. The Dryad herself can destroy a Thorny Sprout to reclaim a seed instantly without putting the ability on cooldown. Additionally, a small trail of thorns will always follow behind the Dryad as she walks. This trail withers away after only 3 seconds of growing and slows survivors down by the same amount as a fully grown Thorny Sprout.
Special Ability: Nature’s Blessing
Upon activating the ability, the Dryad sends her hands into the ground, linking her to all currently active Thorny Sprouts. If any survivor is walking on the roots of the sprouts, the roots tangle themselves around the survivor and hold them in place for 10 seconds, causing them to scream and reveal their aura to the Dryad. In addition, using Nature’s Blessing spawns a Blooming Sprout wherever the Dryad uses the ability. The Blooming Sprout has an area of roots equal to that of a fully grown Thorny Sprout of flowery roots. In this larger area, the Dryad gains a movement speed bonus of 3%. The Blooming Sprout cannot be destroyed by either survivors or the Dryad and lasts until a new one is planted, causing the old one to wither away. This ability has a cooldown of 60 seconds.
Perks:
Scourge Hook: Nature’s Embrace - All scourge hooks on the map have vines growing out of them. Hooking a survivor on one of the scourge hooks causes the vines to wrap themselves around the survivor. In order for them to become unhooked, other survivors must first do a quick action to rip the vines away to reach the hooked survivor. This action takes 1.5/2/2.5 seconds.
Wild Charm - You’ve managed to charm even the Entity’s servants. When a survivor alerts a crow, it will begin flying above their head and following them for 20/30/40 seconds. Has a cooldown of 45/30/15 seconds.
Fae’s Tricks - While in a chase, your red stain will flicker between being in front of you, behind you, in front of your chased target, or behind of your chased target. This will last until the chase with the target that triggered the perk is over. Has a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds.
