I never said that my expectations had to be met. But the expectations I am setting for myself are that the question is answered, which is something that has not happened.
0 -
And that is unfortunate... perhaps now we can talk about the subject at hand
0 -
You are righ but not in the way you think because:
How do you really proof that racism was implied in a game that no body talk and the job of the killer its to kill?
While to the contrary Tbaging its visible and an obvious offense that survivors do just to annoy killers.
Racism does not exist (and for good) in this game.
0 -
Indeed. So, going back on topic:
Did the removal of people of color from this game already happen: yes or no?
0 -
how is a cosmetic racist can you explain.... essentially playing half the cast because I'm a straight white male is racist then...
0 -
I can understand that it isn't comparable to racism. This is always going to be a stand out case. I think they are more meaning that there are also other things that are going on like DDOS, or tools to target specific people, mainly streamers, that there has been very little address from the devs.
We are coming up to another PTB, bar the announcement of the last DDOS, there hasn't been any further talk about it. Has any additional protections been put in place?
Any action towards preventing harassments is obviously a good thing. Also noting that these take time to correct, I just think that the general frustration is coming from multiple sources of targeting, and the lack of communication is coming across as "the devs not caring" which is most likely not the case.

Don't wear a mask in game or In person tbh.

I dont think removing a mask will eradicate racism. Probably wont even touch it. If there really are racist bigots who serve no purpose other than to harass streamers for the color of their skin, deleting in game content will not fix that. We're talking scum of the Earth type of people.
By doing so, and taking the easy way out here, they've essentially told anyone with a racial motif that hey -- if you're racist in our video game, we'll delete content we've created just to stop you. The same goes for anyone who advocates removing content for that reason.
The original purpose of that content was to support the lore of the killer and give people cosmetics to play with... the fact that I have to spell that out for anyone is depressing.
What's even more depressing though is that this game is just another breeding ground for toxic players, where they are even willfully accepted. Some known forum users openly talking about being toxic players to other people. That is our community. Not the racists.
This is the subject we're supposed to be talking about

I'm talking about a specific on-topic comment you made in this thread. So I'm on-topic.
0 -
You're not and I'm afraid you won't get any farther with this conversation. I'll gladly keep you company if that's what it means for you to eventually leave this thread.
0 -
Sure I am. I am discussing the merits of a scenario you yourself posed.
0 -
I don't see any discussion here... I think you asked a question that I already answered
0 -
I'm afraid you did not answer it for the reasons I already outlined. Of course, you are welcome to deliver an answer to the question to allow the discussion to continue.
0 -
I realize you feel some sort of entitlement to a specific answer, but that is self-inflicted and a severe lapse of judgement. I told you this already
0 -
at least bhvr tried and will add new wiggle mechanic to preserve keyboard and fingers
0 -
I mean, I already told you that you are not obligated to answer the question, so I'm not sure how that could equate to entitlement.
0 -
I did answer the question, however. I am not entitled to answer your question in a specific manner that you deem appropriate
0 -
You are not entitled to answer my question? I mean...okay. I'm not sure how that constitutes entitlement, but okay.
0 -
One thing I can say is that I'm glad people can't just cut and paste sentences out of context for no other purpose than to feel as if they really accomplished something. You could clearly see my response there, and yet you still managed to avoid the relevant parts...
0 -
Racism is bad. Now nobody can really control or prepare something for a rare situation like that if you mean actually giving someone a seizure. Though they can't control that anyway you can set macros on pc whether they try to change it or not so I don't think there is much if anything they can do for that
0 -
Yes, because those parts were not the reason I responded.
0 -
Oh believe me, I know that's why
0 -
Okay, so we're on the same page on that fact. Great. That doesn't change the fact that you have yet to answer my question, though. :P
0 -
The great part of all this is that I already did
0 -
I mean, that's incorrect, but similar as to how you're not obligated to answer my question, you're also allowed to state an incorrect claim.
0 -
You are correct that I'm not obligated to answer questions, but I ultimately did respond to you with my answer to your question. My answer to you was that I'm not in any way, shape or form interested in talking semantics where it is least relevant in this conversation. A conversation that you are not entitled to shape to your own benefit. Yet you persist and remain duly self-appointed to your own obligations here...
0 -
That's not an answer to my question; if anything, that is an explicit declaration that you refuse to answer my question.
0 -
It's not the answer you expected, but it is still an answer
0 -
A refusal to answer my question is fundamentally a non-answer. It is a response from you, but it is a non-answer. :P
0 -
If only you knew what a non-answer was...
0 -
A non-answer is a response that does not answer the question. For example: "What is two plus two?" "Don't you have better things to do?"
0 -
So then you recognize that I answered your question with a response of my own. Good.
0 -
Where in the above post did I suggest that? :P
0 -
Ah so we reach the root of the problem.
0 -
And what, may I ask, is the root of the problem?
0 -
You fail to recognize an answer because you could not accept it.
0 -
Could always remove streamers, then there wouldnt be any forum for the racists.
1 -
That is incorrect. Unless, of course, you are willing to point out how. ;)
0 -
Ok so you do recognize my answer then.
0 -
I only said that the notion that I cannot recognize an answer because I cannot accept it is false. :P
0 -
I don't think I mentioned anything about a false answer, but it was a nice try
0 -
The post you are responding to also does not mention anything about a false answer.
0 -
Then we're back where we started. If you can recognize an answer without accepting it, why would we still be here
0 -
Because I don't recognize what you said in response to my question as an answer to my question. That does not mean I am incapable of recognizing any answer that I do not accept as an answer nonetheless. :P
0 -
I don't care about teabagging, but removing content people worked hard for because overly sensitive people look for racism everywhere isn't a good solution.
In return for losing cosmetics that took hundreds of kills to earn, we're given shards. Since he's licensed, shards can't even buy a replacement mask for Leatherface to make up what was lost. At the very least we should be given cells, or some sort of token to buy specifically Leatherface cosmetics from the store.
In thousands of hours I've never once seen a Leatherface tunnel specific people because of the character they're playing. Everyone gets tunneled sometimes, everyone gets camped sometimes. Assuming it's because of the character you play is more than just a little contrived.
0 -
So now we're back to my earlier statement, then. You could not recognize my answer. What a roundabout way of getting to that result, which could have been resolved long ago now
0 -
I already said that the response in question is a non-answer, did I not?
0 -
Which in turn is still an answer, even if it's unacceptable to you. I thought we went through that part already
0 -
A non-answer is fundamentally incapable of being an answer. Otherwise, it wouldn't be called a non-answer; it'd just be called an answer. :P
0 -
An answer is an acceptable response to a question that the person is most likely expecting or wishes to hear... a non-answer is an unacceptable answer, i.e an answer that the person will not accept. I answered your question.
