Survivors Should See Killer’s Name
The way the current matchmaking is going survivors should be able see the killer’s screen name in the lobby. I am sick of getting the same salty killers every match. There is no way only 1 killer is on console for 2-3 matches. Killers can see survivors names memorize our perks and adjust meanwhile we have to guess who the killer is and check for perks etc. Killers have a bad match come back and facecamp and hit being toxic. I’ve seen it from at least 2 killers since this new matchmaking system consistently for weeks.

Controversial counterpoint: No one should see anyone's name.

I honestly couldn't care less one way or the other, if a survivor wants to lobby dodge go ahead killer queue times are usually significantly better.

I accept this an acceptable counterpoint because it balances out. No one knows who’s playing and just plays.

In my ideal world, the game wouldn't show the killers the survivors or vice versa.
What would happen, is once the game loads, a small video shows the 4 survivors walking up to the campfire in their outfits with their items, and then they toss their offerings in. You wouldn't see them until you're loading in.

Have you cross play turned off? Because that would explain why you get the same killer over several matches.

In that case killer just lost a couple of usefull perk so you wont see the occasionnal lightborn or franklin but only 4 slowdown perk

If you see their name than any sort of surprise is diminished

This is the correct answer.

He means player name, not killer name.

The correct answer is : the killer should'nt see the survivors name in the lobby

i realize that too often tho players dont change up their loadout so if you happened to play them a few games previously you basically know what to expect and prepare for. This would greatly ruin any sort of Noed use if they got used to seeing it in your previous matches they know to either do totems or dont go in for the rescue if the gates are powered.

No, streamers would be so screwed. Most killers just have a lot of counterplay in perks / items. It would be kinda broken each time you could see what perks and killer you are against.
I would like to see if it is PC or Console tho.

No that would be awfull.
I agree that some ppl abuse this in toxic ways like using moris to tunnel a player off for any reason but it has also good sides aswell for example avoiding hackers you know by their name like I do with a specific Jill.
Or known bigger players that are playing every game sweaty and you wanna avoid them cuz you just wanna do your dailys or challanges.

Not the name, but the ping.

I like being able to check out Twitch streams post-Trial and the best method of doing so is by reading the twitch-handle.
However as has been pointed out providing it prior the Trial would make it ripe for stream-sniping.
As suggested the best solution would be to hide all names until post trial.
The question is if all Survivors should have each other’s names hidden too, and if there should be a method for Survivors to reveal to one another their name, or if Survivors should just be able to automatically know each other’s name.

What are you doing to piss off so many killers? Asking for a friend.

There is also a question on if you should be able to hide names Post-Trial as well.
Hiding them would help streamers, but also remove some aspect of “Fear of reprisal”.
