Boons
SBMM, Grades, CoH, Validation, Nerfs to my main (RIP Deathslinger), undeserved nerfs overall and bad decisions, overall approach.
SBMM made this game more stressful.
Grades made this game feel like a work to me.
CoH basically removed my favorite playstyle -> Hit&run.
Validation made it super frustrating to lose.
Approach of ignoring players that knows more than them. I felt so bad for Otz on his mid-chapter stream.
It's just not fun for me anymore. I am sometimes forced to SWF, but that's it...

Too grindy
The fact that I have to grind for bp for everything, why arent items just universally shared among all survivors?

Stale meta mostly. Every match feels like I'm going against the exact same group with the exact same perks.
The only time a new perk shows up in the meta is because they made something so ludicrously broken that it outclasses the current meta, like original Mettle of Man and now boons.

I've "left" 3 times, as in extended breaks. Think like 2-3 months or more.
Every time it was simply because I'm very well aware that if I keep playing a game too much, I'll burn out on any game that exists. So far simply taking breaks here and there has made sure I've never even considered "quitting" beyond breaks like that, keeps things fun and not burnt out for me.

Ignore

Idk if camping and tunneling in under toxic community but if not, it should have its own category because it's a bigger issue than boons and has been around a lot longer

Slowly watching the game I loved become something I despise.

Balance issues
- Continual nerfs to bad killers, making their addons useless or their powers unfun and extremely punishing to use
- Either no compensating buffs or extremely insignificant tweaks to killers
- Broken Hit Validation put in on Pallets, no Kill Switched till the feedback bug was fixed, then the SAME BROKEN CODE applied to Dead Hard
- SBMM applying to survivors but being ignored for killers to give survivors faster queues
- SBMM not starting at zero for brand new killers, invalidating the whole point of killer-specific matchmaking to learn new powers
- A continual parade of survivor buffs in the goal of "gets solos to the level of SWF," but letting SWF benefit from all the same buffs, just making them even better
- No sign of the second half of the oft-touted "buff solos then buff killers" mantra
- Maps continually made brighter and brighter, losing the whole dark atmosphere of a horror movie
- And, of course: No rework for Pyramid Head's awful AWFUL addons, despite a dozen other killers getting addon tweaks.

Haven't been playing much the past 2 months simply because I've been busy with work and taking a lot of shifts to save up for car repairs. I honestly miss playing as much as I did though, especially having fun with my SWF.

Just on a break. I haven’t played since last night and am planning to come back tonight.

Balance issues
I quit playing killer 7-8 months ago perhaps because it was to stressful and I could not find joy in tunneling and such which was needed against good teams, but not fun to do. Solo survivor is much easier and now with MMR like today I played around 10 games and escaped all of them. Never stressful just fun. I don't know if I will ever return to playing killer again. Perhaps to try out my feared console Nurse again when bugfixes goes live 😀

I haven't intentionally wanted to leave DbD. I didn't play most of last year but that was because I got into other games instead, not because I had a problem with this one. And since I started back up I still don't have any serious problems with the game that make me want to stop.

SBMM
Forever getting matched with players much higher than my skill level and sbmm seemingly not dropping my score after many, many losses in a row, 0k or 1k maximum.
I tried only playing survivor for a few weeks but it got stale for me just playing one role. Then all the ddos attacks and the increase in hacking kept me away.
I'm back now, after a couple of months, and just bought the new chapter. I will work on levelling them once I have all my other killers P3 or survivors up to level 50 as I don't bother prestiging the survivors.

I’ve been taking breaks from DBD because it’s too stressful at times where I need to back off. This MMR was a big mistake.

Balance issues, the horrid grind, SBMM, Boons, and Stale Gameplay. It just became too much to deal with and made the game not fun anymore.
