Pallet Stuns as Killer
So something I've experienced pretty consistently in matches I've played as killer is hitting a survivor with an attack and simultaneously being pallet stunned, then watch as the survivor I just hit runs away with no change in health state. When the survivor was hit, I can hear the blunt force squelch-type sound, and the survivor screams, but nothing happens.
Does anyone know why this is? Is it an issue with hitboxes, or maybe the game registering my pallet stun a split second before registering me hitting the survivor? Just curious if it happens/happened to anyone else?😅

This is what is termed as "validation", where the server will check and validate any hits. If it doesn't think you got the hit, it won't give you the hit. This is different to the previously killer-sided check which would only look at the killer's side of things; now it is entirely server sided.
Basically, whoever's message hits the server first wins.

Yeah that's what is called pallet validation. Its supposed to work off the person with better delay to the server but no matter how many times i get those hitsounds while i have 40-50 ping compared to a 120 ping survivor they always seem to never get injured despite me having the better connection to the server and hearing them scream, hitsound, but stun and no damage state.

So it's between the sound of me hitting the survivor, versus the pallet stunning me reaching the server first? So I assume the same kind of interaction applies to stunning Bubba with a pallet while he's sweeping, versus Bubba doing the sweeping pallet break animation? Or is that just down to straight timing and mechanics?
