Is getting stuck on “nothing” worse than ever or am I insane?

You’re running a loop.. generic tile or shack for example and you’re keeping it nice and tight then suddenly BAM your foot gets stuck in the dirt and now you’ve just lost 2 full meters of distance which inevitably gets you killed. This has been around for literally as long as I can remember and I’m sure it’s happened to you or at least it eventually will. It could be a mental thing but I legitimately feel forced to run things even wider now and keep dead hard slapped on just in case I get stuck on thin air.

I’d feel better about it if it was a stated, intended mechanic but honestly I think the objects/assets/tiles just need to be smoothed out.

    Realm beyond has definately made this worse because they decided for some reason every object needs extremely complex collision unncessarily

    Dbd hitboxes only exist to personally screw u over. They're intentional and working perfectly.

    Oh no they are not complex in the least they just said oh this round object needs a square hitbox....that wont cause any issues.....

    But jokes aside, that's the basic idea I have seen with hit boxes. Round objects ha ring sharp corner hit boxes or some of the smallest ground clutter having a hit box in the first place.

    I was being chased by a Blight who caught me in a dead zone, he dashed and right before he reached me he hit some ground clutter and pin balled away.....I actually felt bad for him so I ran to him and gave him a free hit

    Random pieces of junk and clutter having collision in teh first place isntead of just being a prop with no collision is what I meant

    To be fair the only 2 killers you notice THE NOTHING on is blight and nurse as it really ruins their power in that chase. Nurse isnt as bad but it still happens from time to time and is really annoying when you just stop mid blink its almost like the game has some issue with pathing over certain type of props since that update.

    On Crotus Penn there's a gray ramp that leads into the main building, but you can't just run up the ramp from the outside, you have to curve a little to the right and maneuver onto the ramp.

    I do not like that ramp. It got me downed. I wasn't mad but the killer didn't earn it.

    I am not able to give you a credible opinion on whether you are insane or not, but if you have to ask...

    Anyways, as a Bubba main, one must learn of the invisible hitboxes or suffer humiliation. They don't frighten me.

    Well it happens in movies so it must be legit. The car wont start, the phones die when trying to call the police, victims always trip and fall down and can’t seem to get up quickly to keep running away. Maybe they’re trying to make dbd realisic. Just a joke of course.

    I noticed the same. You will notice that especially when you play Bubba a bit. The metal fence constructions on reworked Crotus Prenn have a gate opening that you can't go through without running into tantrum, I also had a loop next to Yamaoka residence with a hook nearby where I had completely nothing obstacle-like in my FOV but got into tantrum, survivor stayed and we looped again, next time I kept even more distance to this curve and I got hit again

    And I can't tell how many times Balanced Landing got triggered for "walking" down the stairs in several basements or on Gideon -.-

    I have to add Billy here - the number of times I've hit something while chainsaw dashing and have no idea what the hell I hit is annoying.

    they could at least implement a trip animation, or like the killer hitting their head off the hanging pipe.

    It's been happening to me a lot too. I'm just like, oh okay I guess they just get a free down again because I got stuck on literally nothing, again.
