Disarming Traps

Multiple times now, I've gotten close enough to a trap for the option to be prompted to disarm the trap, and when I do, the survivor steps forward into the trap, springing the trap.... So, instead of disarming it, I activate it... by clicking to disarm it.
Please look into this issue. It makes trapper matches even less bearable.
