4 Status Effect Ideas
I know we already have a lot, but I don't care, so here are my ideas. If you have any of your own status effect ideas, feel free to share them, and feel free to criticize these.
Paranoia] A new debuff that causes any afflicted Survivor to scream when they themselves detect loud noises. This debuff will pause when performing an action, but does go away rather quickly in most cases.
Survivors have a unique list of loud noises that can be made to trigger the scream; Speed Vaults, Damaging a Generator, Exploding a Generator, Survivor being Damaged/Downed, Killer missing a Basic Attack, Survivor Speed-Hiding in a Locker, Fall Stun for Survivor, Pallet Breaking, Firecracker Explosion.
Deafened] The Player cannot hear anything, meaning Survivors can’t detect a Terror Radius and Killers can’t detect loud noises. This also counters Paranoia directly since the Player will never detect a loud noise. Terror Radius effects will still trigger under this, which is one of the few distinguishing features of this from Oblivious. Survivors will also not hear unique music unless a perk or add-on says otherwise.
Shrouded] Survivors are fully cloaked from the Killer, hiding their aura and scratch marks from the Killer. Essentially what Boon: Shadow Step does right now.
Drowsy] A Survivor's vision warbles around the edges and they cannot see the Killer’s red stain. Skill checks have -10% good skill check zones. Injured and Hooked Survivors cannot have this status effect.
Of each of my ideas, I think Paranoia and Deafened need to be added together, and Hearing should be removed since Deafened would do essentially the same thing just without the high-pitched noise. That noise would hurt my ears, so I would prefer Deafened.
